As it was cheaper to fly to Salzburg than Munich for the Oktoberfest, I decided to stay a few days and experience Austrian culture.
These Gardens were used in the Sound of Music and the movie is played in the International Hostel at 10am every day. Oh Joy! A View from the Fortress protecting the city. Salzburg is situated at the entrance to a path through the Alps and commanded a lot of power from this location
For some reason the river is actually green!
I met an American swimming coach in the Fortress. He was doing the history thing while his girlfriend went shopping. He was a bit nuts but it meant I got a great photo of Americans loving bombs! (Disclaimer: This is an non-active shell and was done as a joke. No-one is to take it seriously!!) |
