Hannah and I travelled to Guiseley one afternoon to teach some Irish dancing in Hawksworth School, where Dwayne's children go to school. We started off with the older class and taught one other class before teaching the entire school (of 97) to dance the Siege of Ennis. I turned it into a battle between two sides and introduced the rule that anyone who fell down on the swing part of the dance lost the battle for their army. I couldn't really think of any other way to get the boys involved AND not have total carnage. I think fun was had by all and some of them might even be inspired to take up Irish dance, you never know! At least Hannah and I enjoyed it :o)
