JEE-2000

The council of IIT's has changed the pattern of JEE2000. The notification for conducting JEE-2000 will be published around 15th July '99 and Application form will be available from 15th August'99(approx.).

The JEE-2000 will be conducted in two stages as under:

Stage-1 (screening test)

Stage-2 (Main Examination)

There will be Three papers consisting of Numerical problems (Subjective) in Physics,Chemistry and Maths.

Duration:Each Paper will be of 2 hours.All 3 papers will be held on the same day.

Date: 7th May 2000

Examination Centres : The Main Exam will be conducted only in a few selected cities(approx. 20) of India.

The main exams will be as usual as in previous years to be written in answer books provided.

The merit List of the finally selected students will be prepared on the basis of perfomance in all these three papers.

The syllabi for Main Exam will cover all topics specified for class XI and XII both, as per new syllabus.

2.Separate merit lists of candidates belongng to the General/SC/ST categories are prepared .

REE (ROORKEE)-2000

The REE-2000 will be conducted in two stages as under:

1.STAGE-1 (Qualifying Paper)

Qualifying paper will consists of 100(single choice and multiple choice) Objective Questions of 100 marks(Maths-34,Physics-33 and Chemistry-33) and of 2 hours duration.

The test will be held during !st week of January 2000.

This paper will be based on the syllabus of class XI and half portion of class XII (Std.).

Approx. 7500 students will be selected who will undertake the Main Exam.

2. STAGE-2

There will be three papers consisting of descriptive type Questions on Physics,Chemistry and Maths.

This exam will be held during 2nd week of May 2000.

The syllabi of Main Exam will cover all the syllabus of class XI and XII as usual.

The merit list will be preparedon the basis of finally selected student in Main Exam.
