What Is
SUPER SELECTOR?
The rules of Super Selector are simple.

Each selector (or player) must

pick a team of eleven real-life players,

all of whom will score points

based on their real-life performances

on the field. The selector whose

team scores the most points at the end

of the month is the winner
How do I play?
After registration each selector is presented a menu of players and a schedule of

matches played in a given month. Each real-life player is assigned a specific value based

on past performance and the number of matches he is likely to play that month. Eg. Sachin
Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh are priced at 150 points each, Shoaib Akhtar at 65 points,

while Virender Sehwag is available for just 30 points. From this list, a dream team of 11

players has to be selected and registered.

There are only two restrictions that must be kept in mind:

  1.   The team must consist of 11 players comprising

5 batsmen

4 bowlers

1 all-rounder

1 wicket keeper

NB: All real-life players have been classified into one of 4 divisions. In some cases, the

classification may be subjective, but players must be chosen based on the given

classifications. Eg Shaun Pollock has been classified as a bowler, but Abdul Razzaq is an

all-rounder and Sachin Tendulkar a batsman.

2. Each real-life player has been given a player-rating, using a unique formula created

specially for Super Selector by ESPN STAR Sports. Ratings reflect past performance,

upcoming opposition, likely conditions and future scoring potential. The combined rating

of your 11 cricketers must NOT exceed 1,000.

In short, pick an international team of eleven players from the squad lists provided. All

players accrue points according to their performances on the field and at the end of the

month all those performances add up to give you your Super Selector team score.
