Gemini is my best friend. Though I met her here online and have never seen her in real time, she and I are very close. For almost two years now she has been my constant companion online and my shoulder to cry on offline. Telephones are amazing inventions aren�t they?
My fight against manic depression has been a long and very frustrating one, but since the day we first started talking, Priceless Gem has stayed beside me to help me with her optimism and kick my butt when I needed it. I am a very stubborn and frustrating person at times, yet Gemini has always taken all my moods as a grain of salt and given back genuine caring and concern.
This poem came about one morning as I was suffering from another down mood, and Priceless Gem was trying to help me out of it. Offering as she does a HUGE HUG.. and I wanted to thank her. A line appeared in my mind and I typed it out and as soon as that one was finished another line formed inside me, and so it went till I ran out of lines. I sent it to her in an icq message, because that was where I wrote it, in mid- conversation.
Thank you once again Gemini. You are the best friend anyone could ever hope to have.
