The man never ceased to amaze her.
That fact, in and of itself, was astounding. She wasn't easy shocked or surprised. By no means was she prone to being caught off guard and in her life, she had learned to play it cool, to keep her emotions in check and play all her cards close to the vest.
But Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. The Batman, a.k.a. Mr.-Broody-All-The-World-Must-Obey-Me-Because-I-Deem-It-So, always managed to get her ire kicking wildly and at times, she could feel her hands burning with the need to wrap around his neck and squeeze it until his beautiful blue eyes bulged.
Now was one of those times.
Stuck in a vault, thanks to freaking Riddler, Batman knew it would only be a matter of time, before Robin and Batgirl tracked him down with help from Oracle who had a visual on his transmitter, but he still insisted on pacing every inch of the small room. Selina knew he was looking for a way out. She understood that it wasn't in his rather stubborn nature to wait for someone to rescue him, he was use to doing the rescuing, but his pacing combined with his damn mumbling under his breath was beyond annoying.
And it was obvious he blamed her for their being trapped. If she hadn't been around, he felt he would have had not a bit of trouble taking Riddler down. He had often said that she only served to distract him, he meant it as a complaint, Selina knew, but she took it as a compliment, it made her damn happy, to know that she could get to him and make him as crazy as he made her.
Turn about being fair play and all.
Reclined in the corner, Selina sighed, as The Bat paced by her again.
"Would you sit down!"
Scowling, as only he could, Batman paused and looked down at her. "Like you? You are doing nothing to help in getting us out..."
"Because you said yourself that Batgirl and Robin are on the way and there is no way out."
"I did say that..."
"Then why look for what you won't find?" She countered, tugging off her mask, as it had already been decided by Batman that there were no cameras, enjoying when he frowned again, because she knew she had just thrown logic at him and he couldn't deny logic.
It being his best friend and all.
"Selina..."
"Bruce..."
He followed her lead, tugging off the mask and earning a smile.
"You don't have to enjoy this so much."
"I'm not enjoying this." Selina smiled as she gracefully stood, stepping close, looping her arms around his neck and pressing close. "But you could change that. I mean, we have at least an hour before we've found and there is so much that we can do in that time."
"I hardly think..."
"Actually, you think too much, and that's the problem."
"Selina..."
"Act, Bruce. No thinking, just act."
Not allowing him a chance to argue, she took his mouth in a heated kiss that soon had him responding, pushing her back against the wall, his hands eagerly seeking what she was only all to happy to allow him to find as she decided that The Bat was much more bearable when thinking wasn't allowed.
