It didn't matter how many times this happened, she still took his breath away. Not even her mask could hide the beauty he knew was hidden there...Not even his cowl could hide the joy he felt at seeing her.
He leaped off the water tower to land in front of her, rising quickly to his full height. Many others would have found the sight of him intimidating, but even in the darkness he could see a pleased smile flow over her perfect lips. "Hand it over Selina!" The demand came out hoarser than he had expected, and he swallowed hard past the sudden dryness of his mouth and throat.
She grinned, the wicked grin that always sent a shudder of want through his body.
"Come and get it Handsome!" She purred, clasping the stolen gem firmly in hand, before leaping with catlike grace over the side of the building.
He couldn't help the small smile of delight that curled the corners of his lips upward...the chase had begun, and a thrill of eager anticipation washed over him.
With a daring leap he followed her into the darkness...excited by the prospect of playing yet another game of 'catch the cat' under the stars.
A game that neither of them ever lost.
