I've had a sluggish sort of day. This sometimes happens and when it does I suffer greatly when I forget to remember that sometimes I just need to rest and not try to do everything at once. Okay. As the FlyLady says: "Go to bed at a decent hour!" See also Ben Franklin's Quote: "Early to bed, early to rise ..." Why not take her advice? I'm going to watch "Dial M for Murder" then fall asleep.
Hi, my name is Ruby. But who I am specifically doesn't really matter. This site is more about no matter who we are, we're connected to everyone else and everything else in the universe. The Butterfly Theory, or Buddhism's Oneness/Interbeing. I don't care what you call it, it makes sense to me that the way we human beings can get the most out of life and also offer the most we have to others is to remember this basic reality which has been expressed in so many different ways over time -- there is no place that God is not, there are no separate beings, nothing comes from nothing ...it is truly impossible to tell where anyone begins and ends exactly, so that illusion of isolation and separation from the rest of the world around us that you and I sometimes feel is truly just an illusion.
We are each unique, but we share so much of our "self" with other people and animals (and chairs and beds and rocks and trees...) that whatever we are experiencing or feeling at any moment is probably something that someone else can relate to or learn from. It's like the Kevin Bacon game on a cosmic level ...
Too "deep" or "fluffy"? Well, you will probably come to know what I mean over time as the links and content on the site flesh out this idea.. It doesn't really matter whether you do or not. I've created this site as a creative outlet and a place to put all my links together, easily accessible from wherever, by whomever. I've also created it for me to remind myself easily of so many of the "Truths" that I easily forget. Human, all too human!
Please check frequently to see if new links or content have been added and I promise to make it worth your while! Drop me a line if you wish.
Namaste...
The Reverend Ruby
