Crossed Hunters

Alanna

Gabriel

Evander

------>Silence filled the air as the stealthy hunter moved through the
fogset forest. She kept her cloak as close as possible to reduce
the sound of movement among the damp twigs and leaves,
while tracking her prey. Bow in hand, she moved swiftly through the
dense forest. She kept her face almot completely shrouded with
her hood, both as protection from the damp air, and to keep her
scent from going downwind. She had finally cought sight of her
victim, a large silver werewolf...the only one in the area. She had
been hunting it for two weeks now, and she was not going to
miss this chance to bag her prey and collect her payment. She
quickly pulled a silver arrow and quickly took aim, sucess and
her payment were just one shot away. She had been breaking regulation by hunting on her own like this, well by her team's
standards she had. She liked it better this way. Her Arrow just barely
missed the grey beast's heart, it turned in a rage and ready to kill.
She quikly pulled on more arrow, last chance...This time her
shot hit dead on. The beast looked at her in shock for a moment
then he hit the ground with a loud thud.

------>A small smile crossed her lips. She moved closer to the beast
and moved it slightly with her dark brown boot. She sighed,
"You are definatly one dead wolf," she mumbled only to herself
. " Oh well better you than me right?" She whispered this to the
dead animal. Then the thought hit her,her team, they were atleast
a day behind her, and there was no way she was going to leave the beast here to go look for them. She would just have to pitch camp
here for the night. Her thoughts were interupted by a twig snapping behinde her.

tsk tsk tsk some one is very stupid, clumsy, or tring to be brave.

------->She thought to her self and about how she would cut them open.
When she turned around there was no one behind her, and just when
she was about to turn around another twing snapped off to her left.

...Idiot. there is only one of them, there has to be, unless its a clumsy animal...or maybe I'm just losing my mind...

------->She sighed as she turned to her left. There was no one there
either. She was beginning to think she was losing her mind.
She stod still for a moment, but this was interrupted when some one
grabbed her from behind, covering her mouth while doing so. "Scream, and I will kill you," a rough voice whispered into her ear.
She rolled her eyes a bit and wanted to laugh but didn't.
She bit into his fingers, making him let go ever so quickly giving her enough time to bring out two black blade from under her cloak.
Her smirk turned into a wide smile.
"tsk tsk tsk ever so clumsy."She whispered in a very low almost unhearable tone.
" Scream and I'll kill you ."She mocked. He laughed at her.
She glared at him , not noticing that he had gotten out his own blade.
He was rushing fo her ,and all she did was move out of the way, but only just enough.
She smiled and tuned slicing his upper arm open.
"Stings dosen't it?" She whispered this into his ear with and almost happy tone.
He turned and rushed at her again, this time more out of anger than before, but once again she doged his attack.
"and so clumsy."She said a little louder than the sound of the clank of the two swords as they locked.
"What are you?!" he half screamed, anger seeping through his voice.
"Your worst nightmare"She whispered with an evil smile.
He started to grind his treeth together in anger. He started to pull his blade free, but she pushed one of her swords just against the flesh of his throat."Give me one reason I should not kill you, and it has to be a good one." she said with a smug smile.
"I am only doing what I was paid to do." he half pleaded.
"Which is?!" she raised her voice louder than a whisper for once.
"Hunt the beast."He answered meakly.
"I see, and you thought by killing me youd get the easy kill hmm!?"She murmered angrily and pulled her swords away.

-------->He looked at her almost in shock to the fact that she didn't kill him here.
" I let you live, so then you will not touch that monster, got it," She said.
He noded."You may stay here tonight if you wish, I can bandage your wounds and give you something to eat, its not much but, if we really are after the same thing then I do
not have a problem with you staying here." She told him
showing him very little sympathy. "What is your name?" he asked.
"Alanna." she answered and as she started a fire. " very pretty, I am Evander." he told her half proudly.

...Hmph ....arrogance... I should kill you just for being so damned stupid...

------->She nodded her head and as she did so a few of her bright red locks fell from her hood.
Evander eyed her for a moment.
Bright green eyes, bright ruby locks, thin figure, light untouched
skin, brown boots, black breeches, a black corset, and a loose
black shirt and a dark green cape, bow, silver arrows, two black
steel blades. He eyed her like most men did, half sexual and half intrigued. It almost angered her but then again he was a male.

...A dumb human male to boot...

------->He sat down next to her. "What do most people call you, I mean what class of mercinary are you.?" he asked quietly.
"I am a rogue, or an assasin, which ever you prefer." She said half sarcastically.
"May I see your bow?" he asked as politely as possible.
She nodded and handed him her bow."Be careful with it, its old, and
it will take forever to fix," she warned. He nodded. He let his
fingers move over the intricate carvings,"These are amazing, how long did it take?" he ased still studing the bow.
"twenty years." she said looking at it with a kind of lonliness in her eyes.
His eyes shot to her face. "Your father make it?"She looked up from
the bow to him. "No..." she whispered, but noticed how she was
acting and smiled " a very dear friend of mine, gave it to me long ago as a birthday present." she said sweetly.
" He must have spen a large amount of time working on this."
Evander said in a half whisper as he handed Alanna her bow. "yes... he...did," she whispered.
"But you should get some sleep, it is late and you are injured." she
said as she stood up.He nodded and proped himself against a tree and watched the fire for a bit.
