Below:  The Buell XB12R in action!  The XB12R started out from the original XB9R that was released in 2002.  Back then, the bike was all white and sporting a liter size V-Twin engine.  The bike was and still is innovative.  Carrying its fuel in the frame, its oil in the swingarm, muffler underneath the engine, and front brake rotor in the outside perimeter of the front wheel.  All of the above centralize the bike's mass, making it very easy to flick from side to side.  Only after some years, a few sportbike manufacturers have begun to copy Buell's innovative approaches to sportbike design.  This photo is from the Motorcycle USA.com.
Above:  Another evolution of the XB family of bikes is the Buell Lightning XB12Ss, otherwise known as the Lightning "Long".  It features extended frame rails that lengthen the bike an additional 2 inches to add more room for rider and passenger, as well as additional fuel capacity for a longer range.  The Lightning is one of Buell's most popular models.  It is also one of the most handsome naked bikes in the market today.  Photo courtesy of Buell USA.
