75 miles my ASS!

I'm quite sure that's what Asphalt_Carver was thinking to himself.  It was really 150 miles from Hollister to San Simeon.  Most of it in light rain.  Okay, so I was off by 50%.  I never said I was a walking GPS navigation device!
We arrived with a sigh of relief.  We had covered about 400 miles with most of it, twisties and some of it in the wet.  As soon as we got off our bikes, another scruffy looking guy walked up to us to ask us where we were coming from.  AS was not in the best of moods and promptly walked in to check into our Hotel.  The guy was working the field across from the Hotel and he was very proud of his hometown.  He felt some pride in that guys like us from the big city rode all the way down there just to enjoy the place.

Below:  Asphalt_Carver poses for a moment.  We were cold, wet, and tired.

Below:  My room at the San Simeon Lodge.  There really wasn't much we could do.  We freshened up, had dinner, made plans for the next day, went to bed.      Bottom:  The Firebolt got to sit under the awning outside my room so she didn't sit under the rain all night.
