Only magicians are empty, so it's said. The rest of us are like houses haunted by ghosts, memories. They never rest.

Welcome to this site.

Click here to visit the all new, fabulous and very weird eerie's haunt!.

I'm back...and you never even noticed I was gone. Anyway, I have some catching up to do, and to start things off I want to post a link to a brand new site created by the eerie one herself... A site confusingly named 'eerie's haunt'.

It confuses me anyway, as that's also the name of the one we made right here. Shucks, women, (etc).

*sigh*

Anyway, she's now got a bubbly, sexy and extremely weird new site... Which, come to think of it, makes it just like her.

You can find it right here: Click here to visit the all new, fabulous and very weird eerie's haunt!

Miss it at your peril!

26th April 2005

OK, eerie, was that all right, do I get the cheque now?

Vault of Evil - British Anthology Hell

Vault of Evil is an interactive forum for anyone who loves horror fiction. It's full title is Vault of Evil - British Anthology Hell. But clearly the site has expanded its categories to meet the needs of its members. If you love horror fiction, you'll love Vault of Evil"

We're writing and drawing on the walls of the biggest cave ever. Ideally, I think a site should be entertaining, informative and useful. Some people have been kind enough to say that they like this one.

This is a personal site, begun September '03, not owned by any business or organisation.

Links on all pages of the site will take you to the main navigation page. You can reach the galleries, film pages, brief horror and fantasy reviews and music pages from there...or from here. The navigation page is faster to load, with no graphics, that's all.

Some of the sites listed here or on my links pages (3 of them) belong to friends, to people who've signed the guestbook or emailed me. Others are simply sites I like or find useful.

You can bookmark this page by clicking this link.

eerie and me hope you enjoy your visit,

Roger

N.B. Especially for all those people who find this site by searching for 'haunted dolls', I'm adding this link to October Effigies, which I found in my guestbook and is a site I'm sure doll collectors will appreciate.

I've mixed feelings about this search box, I'm not sure how often it updates yet. Typing in "Strange little girls" brings up an interesting mix of results on this site. But typing Monster Magnet doesn't bring up any results at the time of writing... 'the time of writing' being a couple of months after putting up the Monster Magnet page! Don't ask me how it works, I'm not a programmer, I just make pages. But this has grown into a pretty big site covering a lot of interests. You can reach the navigation page by clicking here.

Click on the banner above to visit distant companion in crime and sometime provider of inspiration or infuriation, to view and share eerie's thoughts and gossip on Tori Amos, Salma Hayeck and The Ninth Gate. She supports POPULAR 1 magazine totally. An article she wrote about The Fun Lovin' Criminals can be found at Dick is Dead and El Ritual. And as the lady says, if you're not much of a reader, you can still enjoy the photos!

She's recently completed an article about Type O Negative.

Listen to
Asrai's music and see pictures of the band at their
official website. The single Palelight has a video by gothic artists
Marcel De Jong and Jelle Swetter and can be seen on MTV and The Box. Dark electro band Contrast have a new album out in 2004. Contrast was
 founded in Amsterdam in
2002. Patrick and Richard decided
to bundle their strength, and form the
dark electro band Contrast. The basic
concept is to create dark electronic
dance tracks, combined with dark
soundscapes.

Contrast's bands of inspiration
are: Hocico, Wumpscut, Grendel, Ice
Ages, Frontline Assembly, Suicide
Commando, Klinik, Skinny Puppy, In
Slaughter Natives,Sephiroth, Decoded
Feedback, Tactical Sekt etc...

In December 2003 Contrast finished
it's first demo MCD
'The Devastation Files'

Leading band Asrai have been signed to Transmission Records and released their outstanding new CD Touch in the Dark to critical acclaim. The video for the single Palelight was made by gothic artists Marcel De Jong and Jelle Swetter. You can also listen to their music and see great photos of the band at Asrai's official website. The site is constructed by Karin. There's also a brand new Asrai Official Fan Site. You can find it here. Contrast, with Pax, formerly of Malochia, will be releasing its new album this year. See photos of the band in action at its site. Click on either of the above two pictures! B etween them, these people are reaching a huge audience.

Maud Mulder's Curiosa for Gothic art, photo manipulations, animated Gothic Little Lucy and Batty Bones e-cards, Asrai T-shirts and bags, printing and art.

Maud Mulder's site has been going through a series of positively Kafkaesque metamorphoses during the past months, and has now become the aptly-named Curiosa. I'm not exactly sure what she's up to now, so why not click on the (now out-of-date - sorry!) banner above to visit her site. You'll find her excellent drawings and 'mutilated photographs' as well as her well-known animated e-cards. Maud also designs and prints T-shirts and bags - including those for Asrai. She is, she says, 'A modest girl.' She made this tiny button for me and I think it's exquisite.

Visit Roger B Pile's A Haunted Dolls House

Thanks, Maude!

She likes to draw with pen and ink.

The art of Marcel De Jong

Marcel De Jong prefers to work in Photoshop. He's made his name with work in comics, posters, greetings cards, sculptures - including headstones - and animated cartoons, including Aina and the brilliant When She Was Good... which features the music of Pax and voice of Antoinette, formerly of Malochia. He works now with Jelle Swetter and made the video for Asrai's single Palelight. I recommend Marcel's site for it's artwork (some day I'll get more of my own uploaded - I seem to spend all my time making web-pages, these days!).

See the beautiful Gothic photographs of Manon van der Hidde

There's a connexion between Kendra Lefay, Contrast and Asrai. It's not difficult to work out, just visit their sites. Enough to say that she's a friend, an excellent photographer and a musician. Her photos are displayed in other websites and clubs around the world.

Come walk in the shadows with erotic horror author Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc

The Lost, The Forgotten, The Damned is owned by Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc who describes herself as 'eccentric'. She's also quite charming and works as a gothic model. Her short story The Lofters can be read in this site. I'm delighted to add, that this year will see the publication of her novel, Gothique - A Man of Two Worlds by Black Death books, with cover design by Majik Studios. You can read the first chapter by clicking this link to www.eternalnight.co.uk. She has previously written a novel The Grounds of Nachmasheeghan.

The Old Wife's Tales is owned by Marie. She's natural born storyteller.

Carl Merritt is the owner of Abe's Tomb and author of the novel A Fleet of Angels

Carl Merritt is the owner of Abe's Tomb and author of the novel A Fleet of Angels. Carl was the first to list my site on his 100 Ultimate Literary Top Sites, which seemed to coincide with the publication of his book... Whether that Top Site List is being updated now that Carl's otherwise busy writing, I really don't know. But I pay a visit to Abe's Tomb now and again. It's kinda fun.

Walk in Shadows.
Shadow Walk is owned by Amos Keppler, who is a Witch, a Storyteller,
an artist, a Rebel, a Nomad and much, much more. He has published his first novel, The Nightwalker. I gather it's an ambitious book, and Amos strikes me as a person who definitely knows his own mind and how he wants to go about things. It's the only way. You can buy his book at Amazon or visit his site by clicking on this banner.

Ralph Robert Moore is the author of cult underground classic 'Father Figure'. And I really recommend his site, both for his written content and his choice of links to other authors sites His writing has been described as 'provocative'. Well, shucks,
thank god for people who can still 'provoke' in this time of mediocrity. I really like his site and recommend it unreservedly.

writers4writers is a mutually supportive forum for writers on the net and off, promoting members' websites and providing constructive criticism and comment. Seems like a good idea to me!

Be Embraced. A vampire community site, Darkness Embraced also is of interest to pagans, witches or those with an alternative 'dark' lifestyle.

Darkness Embraced is one of the more atmospheric and technically dazzling sites on the web. I don't know it's owner, Larae, but she's clearly a brilliant webmistress. It was at Darkness Embraced, through Darkness Against Child Abuse, that I found Code Amber.

Click here. You might save a life! Help find missing children in the USA and Canada

Go on, click it, you might save a life.

There will be more links added to this page. I think that if the same page appears on two sites, and so far A Haunted Dolls House has had visitors from more than 50 countries, one ought to make the most of it, don't you?
