                             NATAL INPUT DATA Help

This window contains the birth data of the person for which you will
calculate your numerology data. You may edit any data in any text
box, including the name, using the normal Windows editing techniques.

Clicking the right mouse button on a blank area in the NATAL INPUT
DATA window changes the focus to the NumerUna window.

Do NOT use a comma in the name text box. Commas are NOT allowed.

SAVE TO DISK - Click on this command button to save the displayed
birth or event data in a data file for future reference. You will be
given the choice of where you want to save this data. The data will be
saved in your selected file and it will appear in the names window
when that file is the currently selected file.

If the current name in the natal input data window matches a name in
your selected data file, then you will be asked whether or not you
want the old data overwritten by the new data. If you answer yes, then
the old data will be erased and the new data will take its place. If
you answer no, then the current data will be appended to your selected
     data file.

Do NOT use a comma in the name text box. Commas are NOT allowed.

OK - Click on this command button to start the calculations for the
     data in the form.

                             EDIT A NAME FILE Help

Once this window is displayed, you may edit the names contained in the
displayed file. Edit the text area like you would in any other Windows
     application.

QUIT - Click on this command button when you are done with your work.
Nothing is saved when this button is clicked.

SAVE - Click on this button when you want to save the contents shown
in the text area. The contents of the text area will be saved in the
     names file last selected.

When adding an entry to a names list, you must finish off a line of
data by hitting <ENTER>. If you do not, then the longitude degrees
and/or minutes may not be read properly.

Do NOT use a comma within the name. Commas are not allowed.

DO NOT LEAVE ANY BLANK LINES IN YOUR DATA FILE or else the data
following the blank lines will not be seen in the list box window.

NOTE: Be sure you do not leave any blank lines at the end of the file.
While holding down the CTRL key, hit END. The cursor should move to
the first column of the line just below your last line of data. If it
is not, then use the arrow keys and/or the BACKSPACE or DELETE keys to
remove the extra lines or characters.

                                   NAMES Help

The NAMES window displays all the people whose birth dates you have on
file. Single click on a person's name to see their birth data appear
on the Natal Input Data form. By double clicking on a person's name
you will begin the calculations for that person.

If there are exact duplicate names in the list, then you must properly
distinguish each name with a different designation, such as Bette Ford
1, Bette Ford 2, Bette Ford 3. This is because the data associated
with the first name found in the list will be called up no matter
which version of the name you click on. I recommend all names in a
     particular list be made unique.

Do not delete the file called NAMES.FIL under any circumstances.

Do NOT use a comma in the name text box. Commas are not allowed.

CHANGE LIST - Click on this command button to choose a new list of
     names to view.

EDIT THIS LIST - Click on this command button to edit the names and
data contained in the current names file.

                                 NUMERUNA Help

This is the main menu for the program. It displays the current date
and time as kept in your computer's internal memory as well as all the
main menu items for the program itself.

FILE - Select this menu item when you want to exit the program. Upon
exiting the program, NumerUna.EXE will save various paramters in a
file named NUMERUNA.INI so that the parameters will be restored the
     next time you run NumerUna.EXE.

INPUT - Select this menu item to clear any calculated data and
display the natal input data and the names on file windows.

NUMEROLOGY - Select this menu item to view the data that was
calculated for the input data you set. Look through the list of data
items and select the one(s) of interest.

OPTIONS - Select this menu item in order to view and change the
various parameters the program uses in its calculations and displays.
A text box will appear that will allow you to edit any or all settings
and then save them back to file.

HELP - This menu item allows you to display information on the various
     features in the program.

                                  OPTIONS Help

This window allows you to change various program parameters used by
NUMERUNA.EXE. Edit the text area as you would in any other Windows
     application.

QUIT - Click here to exit the program options window. Nothing is saved
when you click on this command button.

SAVE - Click on this command button to save any changes you have made
     to the options text area.

RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS - Click on this command button to restore the
default progrm options contained in the file called OPTIONS.MAS.
OPTIONS.MAS cannot be changed from within NUMERUNA.EXE. You may change
this file outside of NUMERUNA.EXE by using any standard text editor.

Most of the options are straight forward and easily understood. I
will attempt to clarify some that may not be self-evident.

OPTION 1. This option allows you to specify how many characters can
be printed on a line before the print size changes to 12 cpi
(characters per inch) rather than 10 cpi. The default is 79, meaning
80 characters or more on one line causes the printer to change to 12
cpi format. If you are using A4 paper rather than 8.5" x 11", then I
recommend setting this value to 75 or 76. Experiment.

OPTION 2. The NumerUna title screen will not be displayed if this
option is set equal to 0.

OPTION 4. Experiment with the proper setting here so that your
printer prints all it should on each page without giving extra form
     feeds.

OPTION 5. This option refers to the numerology progressions.

OPTION 6. This option allows you to specify the standard American
format of month, day, year (0) or the standard European format of day,
month, year (1) for the numerological analysis of birth force sub-
     cycles, pinnacles and challenges.

Feel free to experiment with different options settings. You cannot do
any harm by changing them all around. You can always go back to the
default values at any time if you hopelessly change things beyond
     comprehension.

                                   DATA Help

This window displays the data that you have selected. Data displayed
in this window may be saved to file or sent to your printer.

If you hit the Esc key when the DATA window has the focus, then the
focus will be changed to the NUMERUNA window. Clicking the right mouse
button on the DATA window has the same effect.

FILE - Selecting this menu item allows you to SAVE the entire
contents of the data buffer to a file of your choice. You may either
SAVE the file to the last selected file or choose a different file. If
you choose a different file, then a SAVE AS box will appear allowing
you to choose the drive, directory, and file name of where to save the
data. You may change any of these parameters. The default file name
is the first name of the person.DOC. Change this to whatever name you
wish using the usual DOS filename guidelines. If you change your mind
about saving the data, simply click on the CANCEL command button to
exit, thus not saving the data in the data buffer.

FONT - Click on this menu item in order to enlarge or shrink the font
size of the text in this window. You may also enable the bold and/or
italic properties of the font. Your settings will be saved when you
     exit NumerUna.EXE.

CLEAR ALL DATA - All data written to the DATA window is accumulated in
a data buffer. Select this menu option to clear the buffer of all its
contents. This is useful if you have displayed a lot of data and are
no longer interested in saving it, storing it or printing it. A
message box appears after you select this item notifying you of your
     actions.

PRINT PAGE - Select this menu item to print the contents of what is
displayed in the data window, not the accumulated contents in the data
buffer. A text box will appear allowing you to edit the data before
you print it to your printer.

PRINT DATA - Selecting this menu item allows you to print the entire
accumulated contents of the data buffer since this chart was
calculated or since you last cleared the data buffer. You will be
shown a text box containing the contents of the data buffer. You may
edit the contents of this text box before you print to printer. This
allows you to weed out data you don't particularly care about.

                               FILE TO PRINT Help

This window allows you to see and edit the contents of what you have
asked the program to print to your printer. Edit the text area of
this window using the same techniques you would use in any other
     Windows application.

CANCEL - Click on this command button to exit this window. Nothing
more will occur when you click on this button.

PRINT - Click on this command button to print the contents of the text
     box to your printer.

                                    UPGRADES

NUMERUNA is a Windows based numerology calculation program that
evolved from my DOS numerology calculation program.

I would be happy to hear from you regarding comments, suggestions,
complaints, ideas concerning new features or whatever you have on your
mind. You may reach me below.

If there is something you need that is not contained in NUMERUNA,
please feel free to discuss your idea with me for possible inclusion
     into the program. Thank you.

                                     HINTS

HINT 1: If you need a way to print out all the help files using DOS,
     then do the following:

From a DOS command line, type CD \NUMERWIN (or whatever directory you
have stored NUMERUNA.EXE in). Hit <ENTER>. This moves you to your
NUMERWIN (NUMERUNA.EXE) directory. Type PRINT HELPFILE. Hit <ENTER>.
You may need to hit <ENTER> a second time if this is this first time
you have used the PRINT command. This will print out all the help
files. This will generate up to 7 pages of printout, so be sure to
     have enough paper handy.

HINT 2: I recommend you set your Windows Button Face color to gray. I
believe this gives the best looking forms and controls. If the control
and message form colors are not to your liking, you may change colors
by double clicking on CONTROL PANEL in MAIN. Double click on COLOR.
Click on Color Palette. From the Screen Element list box, select
Button Face. Click on the desired color (I prefer gray, the 6th box in
the 6th row of colors. If you want to permanently save your colors,
then click on Save Scheme and give your color scheme a name. Click on
     OK to quit.
