- Today was the passing of the torch from one set of club officers to the next year's. See the officer page for a list of everyone elected for the 2009-10 term.
-Lion Jerry was recognized and fined by Tailtwister Marian for receiving a prestigious award within the Methodist denomination. Lion Jerry was given the Barnabas Award, which is given to someone known for mentoring young, new Methodist ministers in the state of Arkansas. Congratulations Jerry!!
-Lion President Linda recognized Lions Michael, Abbie, Laura, Tim, Ricky, and Keri as her "magnificent six" for all that they contributed during various fundraisers over the last year.
-Lion Kathleen was recognized for 10 years of service over the club's Site Conservation Project. She has helped hundreds of Rogers school children obtain the eye exams and glasses they need to succeed in school. Her service to our club's main focus is greatly appreciated by all of our members and the community. Thanks Kathleen!!
-Lion Keri was presented with the 2009 Lion of the Year award. This award is given to one Lion each year based upon the popular vote of the club members.
-Lion Mike excepted his new position as Lions Club President by saying he hopes to have as good of a year or better than the last. His first board meeting date and time will be announced at a later date.
