The Universe Explained - The Evolving Universe
But what is nature? Nature is everything that does not call for a divine explanation, for "the hands of God". For the naturalist, nature is god itself. Nature is not matter or/and the universe only. It goes beyond them. The string theorist who wants to seize the "mind of god" tries to join two sides of nature, the one which deals with probability and quantum physics or quantum mechanics and the one which deals with linear or vector algebra and relativity or classical physics. But can nature or the "mind of God" be seized by a mortal and humble creature like man? My answer is it is to be proven.
