Roger was joined by novice codriver Bruce McIntyre for the super fast stages of the North Humberside Forest Rally. 

The day started with a couple of loops of Olivers Mounts circuit in Scarborough. Roger and Bruce were off to a good start finishing this stage 5 seconds up on the next N1 car.

TI Motorsport (Taff and Win) quickly changed the tarmac tyres for new gravel tyres in the first service and the duo headed for the forest. Conditions in the forest were dry hard and very fast. Bruce quickly got to grips with the maps despite this being his first event and despite Bruce's bouts of severe car sickness the duo set good times throughout the day.
