Prodrive Banbury Rally

Roger was joined again by Robin Hernaman for
this season closing event. This rally used the rally school circuits at
Enstone, Silverstone and mixed surface stages at Cornbury house that have
been used in the RAC rally in the past. Servicing was provided by Peter
Mustoe and the centre of Banbury proved to be an atmospheric and sociable
place.
The event was well organised and a fun end to the season. Roger and Robin has elected to miss the pre-event recce and in retrospect this was a mistak. They were off the pace for most of the day ending up in 7th place of 8 Polo's home. The only drama of the day was slipping off the road into sticky clay on a sharp and very narrow '90 left' on a farm track. Thanks to Robin and the marshal for pushing me out ! |
