| Join the canal towpath by the bridge at Ferncliffe Road and ride to Saltaire.Walk the bike over the pedestrian Bridge spanning the River Aire. Head left along the coach Road. Pass Salt Grammar School and take the bridleway right that leads up steeply to Prod Lane. Take Lucy Hall Drive opposite and head towards Baildon. Pass Sandal Primary on your right and then turn left to climb up Hope Lane. Bear left at the top on the tarmac bridleway that leads past Dove Hall and Hope Farm. Turn right through the gate at the signposted bridleway. Go to another gate that opens on to the moor.Bear left and head towards the Dobrudden farm track. Turn right on this, pass the cinder caves and join the Eldwick/Baildon road near Acrehowe Hill. Freewheel right down to the road junction then turn left on the Hawksworth road. Frewheel again until you turn left onto the track called Sconce Lane. Past Faweather Grange keep bearing right onto Old Wood Lane which dips down and crosses a beck before leading up past a farm to the busy Otley/ /Bingley road. |

| Turn left and ride to Dick Hudsons. Turn left but bear right just before Eldwick Hall on the signposted bridleway. The track, Saddle Lane, is rough and rocky for a short section before the gate. Ford Elwick Beck and take the switchbacks over the packhorse paving stones. Turn right and then veer left on Tewitt Lane. This takes you onto Heights Lane. Bear right and continue until you meet the Morton/ Otley road. Turn left and go steeply down. Half way down the hill, turn left onto Carr Lane. Take the lane through Micklethwaite down to the canal and go back to Bingley on the towpath. |
