Art in the Park installation: A Billion Dollars, a Mirage by Roger DeGennaro-mixed media, clear plastic print panels forming a wavering pyramid of hundred-dollar bills in blocks. Effects: projection onto the viewer, skewed sense of perspective, wind motion, material ephemerality. Also featured in the ARTERIES group show at the Angel Orensanz foundation, as part of the festival.
Two-person show, along with Calvin Reid, drawings. Digital print works, such as "Celebrities Will Save Us," "Greetings From New York," and "We Interrupt This Alert." Three-dimensional mixed-media: "Cell Phone Booth." Reviewed in Art in America, March 2002: " his visual art expresses a topical, satiric wit."
