1995
The Good Life! 1995 afforded me my very own 1930s Hollywood abode sans roommates, friends and/or significant other living things.  Solitude is highly underrated as a precursor to sustained sanity.  My passion for travel yielded helicopter tours of Maui in mid-November and at sunset over New York City on New Year's Day 1996; a spectacular horse-drawn carriage ride above Montreal during a lively secession rally in September; winning then losing small fortunes at Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas in December; and experiencing Sunset Boulevard on Broadway.  My passion for gourmet food yielded several gastronomic adventures (in Quebec, Maui, San Francisco, Orlando and New York) but most memorable my 28th birthday feast including crab-stuffed Maine lobster, escargot, and duck truffle pate for 20 close friends.  28 finds me still growing roots in Los Angeles (nearing two years now!)  Like Van Gogh sunflowers, LA's vast landscape of co-dependent transplants can be hypnotic, pacifiying and inspiring for a creative mind.  The most fulfilling part of 1995 has been my present job at InterAct Entertainment Group, a multi-media company in Beverly Hills.  As Reunion Coordinator for 800-U.S. SEARCH, I arrange reunions for long lost friends and family members via computer database.  Piled high with Stasi-esque reports on private citizens (a mild exaggeration), my desk receives about five "success stories" daily.
