| 1994 Confined to U.S.borders for the first calendar year in a decade, 1994 has, nevertheless, proven to be a year of expansion and growth on levels non-longitudinal. At this moment, I am nearing Chicago on a bi-coastal flight en route to Los Angeles, my home since March (post Boston). The obligatory holiday family visits completed in West Virginia, the last week of 1994 was spent visiting friends in Boston and New York, where I rang in the New Year in grand "grand pomme" fashion with friends (now a 2-year tradition!!) Save for trips to Phoenix and San Francisco this year, my feet have been firmly planted in sunny Los Angeles. In July I relocated from Beverly Hills to nearby Brentwood and found myself, unwillingly, amidst the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Did this story reach you in Kiribati? A former colleague and friend of Ron Goldman's, I may be a trial witness in early 1995 to testify against Simpson regarding stalking charges. Only weeks before the now infamous murders in June, fate placed me at O.J.'s estate volunteering at a catering function. Oh, good ole volunteerism, LA style!! In August my entrepreneurial spirit yielded my first major solo business venture, The Eccentric Gourmet - a travel club centered around dining at the world's top restaurants. Perhaps we can rendezvous at your local eatery as I continue to span the globe in search of the perfect meal. By the way, how do you say indigestion in Swahili? |
