WINDOWS 98 IS STARTING IN SAFE MODE ONLY AND HAVING THE ERROR "VSDATA95" (maybe in blue screen) Do the follow: When WIN 98 starting, it will give you option to start in safe mode, normal mode etc. select "step by step con...." Select yes for all except when you see "vsdata95" select NO Now Win 98 should start the normal way (this is only a temportary fix) This problem occurs with the application ZONEALARM. Open the registry (start-run-regedit) go to edit-find (make sure the check mark is on "keys", "values" and "data") type in vsdata95, and delete it, press F3 to continue to search for it until there is no more delete all you find, then search for vsdata all of it and delete it, then zonealarm...delete all! (use the F3 key to find all) Now go to start-find-files and folders search there for vsdata95, vsdata and zonealarm (a folder may be in C:\Program Files\Zonealarm) and delete all. Restart your computer and it should start o.k now.
