Gore's
Mark on History
Read Ann
Coulter's view.
It is wrong to
change rules after the contest has been lost. If Gore thinks
"every vote should count" what about the miscounts in every
other state? If you cannot vote properly, the vote doesn't count. Those
were the rules going into election day. ... In Florida in September a
candidate for office lost a close election and claimed inaccurate
machine counting. When she took the case to court - in Florida - in September
2000 - she was told that the votes were counted
as per law and they would stand. She lost. The law should be the law.

I totally agree with your article about the elections and I'm dismayed at
the ability of the media and the Democratic party to claim this is about
counting EVERY vote...
I find it hard to believe if they wanted EVERY vote, that they would exclude
the 26,000 votes in Jacksonville Florida, which is a heavily Republican
county, and were so willing to exclude the military votes that weren't
postmarked....
If those were expected to be Democratic votes for Gore, I'm almost certain
they would want them included!

When there are two
or more state laws that are in conflict, IT IS THE JOB OF THE JUDICIARY TO
RESOLVE THE ISSUES. The right to a recount which takes longer than seven
days and the certification of the election which must be done in seven days
are mutually exclusive. It takes a court to decide which law prevails.
So put away your guns, and park the paranoia. Just as many democrats feel
that the R's are stealing the election. That's why we have a process, and
the process is working, regardless of which moron becomes the next
President, God save his soul!
