Legend of the dragoons
The first time I played this I thought this would be $%@#! The start absolutly sucked for me. So i stopped playing for a couple of days. Then started again this time determined. Once i got past the first section of Helana Prison i found the game much more enjoyable. The battling found a place in this game and the attacks you could do where great. It was like ff8 with squalls gunblade. you had to press r1 the time the character strikes to continue the attack. the longer the attack goes the more powerful it gets. There where different types of attacks too. The items where slightly different in that it cured half/all of 1/all characters HP orcured MP for when the characters become a dragoon. To become a dragoon you have to attack to gain SP once you get enough SP you can become a dragoon for 1,2,3,4 mabie 5 turns. Once you become a dragoon you can do very powerful attacks or magic. The games storyline as you progress is brilliant, and apart from the sound acting, the FMV's where too. A great game worth playing (please get past Hellana Prison) before you make your judjment.

Final Fantasy 6

This is a great game. Im currently playing it for the third time and if you know how long it is you'll understand. FF6 is a fantastic game. Considering it's a SNES game there are no FMV's and it would be wrong to talk about graphics. But this has the best storyline until FF7. The battling is normal FF style but OMG the storyline. Espers com into effect in this game. You can learn magic from them and use them in battle (not that it's worth it). An absolute classic!

Final Fantasy 5
This is a different sort of Final Fantasy in a way. The main difference is the class option. Basically as you progress through the game you will recieve crystal shards. These shards have the ability to turn into say a black mage (yere! =). Each shard turns you into different things. If you are say a monk at the start and you job lvl up say 3 times, then you decide to become a black mage (yere! =) As well as having a black mage that can do balck magic he could also do, kick(a monk move). So you could have various combinations of stuff e.g a white and black mage (yere! =) or a samaria that can steal stuff! cool huh? once you become the highest lvl in a class your hair turns grey meaning that your skills from then on will deteriate in that class. To stop this change class. in the end you should have a group of bares (no class) that can do 2 of the skills (same as normal) of any class at full power. But sadly the storyline is not great. While hilarious, it just doesn't cut it.

Final Fantasy 4

Hehe. Wussup? oh sorry reviews damn. Final Fantasy 4 is an excellent game. It is the same as Final Fantasy 2 only not watered down so much. It is a great game about a high ranked knight who rebels against his kingdom. Battling is normal. The storyline is great. Heaps of good/evil characters that will fight/join your party. Theres not much to talk about with this game apart from how good it is. The only critisism is that becoming a paladin sucks! You may not have any idea what i'm talking about but just download the game it's good!

Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy Tactics. Woah. This is a FF spinoff andd its hardly anything like a traditional FF. The battling sequence is a lot different: you can move around, attack the enemy, use tequniques, heal. The main thing being it is not a flat battle ground with the enemy lined up in front of yours. You must move your characters althrough the place to attack the enemy. Hard to explain. Also your characters can choose different classes scimilar to ff5 only instead of crystal shards you need prequisits of other classes. e.g to become a lancer you need to be a lvl 3 archer (may not be true im too lazy to find out ;) Same deal with ff5 , different abilities etc. But this has the most amazing storyline. Set in medievil times you are a cadet. Intresting but it get's great. The ending is fabulous. This is worth getting for certain.

Secret of Mana

I actually started playing 'Secret of Mana' 2 before i started the first one. But my brother showed me the cult of keflka's rom list/reviews and secret of mana scored 1% more than the sequel. I automatically downloaded it. The start was a bit interesting but nothing exciting. I felt that drawing the Mana sword should have been a touch more dramatic but none the less.... The characters are unique and have almost no background info on but the storyline ain't that bad, it isn't the best i've seen but it isn't bad. Battling is not turn based but you get to move around and attack and use magic. This means tactics is more apparent. I like the bar that has the strength gauge. You do nothing if the gauge is below 100% (by nothing i mean about a 1/4 of the 100% attack) but once it gets all the way....

Secret of Mana 2

Aggggg. Get a bit of this into ya. I really like this game. I have no idea how i got it but who cares? it's a great game. The option of the choice of characters was fantastic. They all have there each indevidual story that all intersect another at one point in the game. Backgroung information was done satisfyingly and a huge inprovement to the previos SOM. The storyline is very good I thought, but i would have preffered one big twist in the game like a character betrayal or the like. But what are ya gonna do? The battling is the same as the old SOM except with no gauge meaning it is a lot easier to win battles simply by hammering the attack button repeatedly. There are special moves which can be activated after laying three attacks on an enemy that do some serious damage. But I loved the class change. basically you start of nuetral, but at a certain level you can turn good or evil. Dependinfg which way you go your stats will change. This class change thing happens 2 times for every character. Which way will you go? (ohhhhhhh yea!)
