Cordelia's Diary
Me all dresses up
Babies are Angels that fly to the earth,
their wings disappear at the time of their birth
one look in their eyes and we're never the same
They're part of us now and that part has a name
That part is your heart and a bond that won't sever
our Babies are Angels, we love them forever.
10.03.05 I went and got my picture taken today!   My Grandma and Aunt Joyce made me this out fit and blanket.  Mommy said it took a lot of time!  I was suppose to be able to wear it when I'm 6 months old but I'm only 5 months and its getting too small already.  Don't I look pretty!
10.04.05 I have my first cold! and it sucks!  I have a painful cough, fever of 100.4 degrees, a icky runny red nose and I am very cranky.  I'm too young for chicken soup or even to blow my little nose.  But that's not the worst of it, mommy is sick too....I thought I was cranky!   Mommy and I spent the day in bed or in the bathtub with the vapor bubble bath. I'm so happy when daddy gets home! He makes all the bad go away and I can smile again!  I don't ever want to get sick again!
10.06.05 BILLS...BILLS...BILLS!!  There are so many bills to pay when you have a little baby like me around!  It's mommy and my job to pay all the bills!
Daddy makes the money, we spend it!
10.09.05 I went to visit Great Grandma Holt.  She had a leaky faucet that needed to be fixed.  So while grandpa hanson fixed the faucet, great grandma and I read the paper.  Then we went to the Portland Art Museum.  It was free to get in.  We saw lots of good art and lots of bad art.  I had a great time with G&G Hanson.
bills, bills, bills
10.11.05 Today is Mommy and Daddy's Wedding Anniversary. It started out a wonderful day at the zoo with Mommy and Daddy.   I brought my books to help me remember all the animals.  Daddy had to go to work so we dropped by Burgerville for lunch.  Mommy accidently locked me in the truck with it still running.   I wasn't in there for too long and I only had a few tears before the big man in the white van (locksmith) came and freed me.   Everything was okay but mommy still cried. I don't think she'll do that again!
10.17.05 What an exciting day! We were in search of the perfect orange ball! Mommy called it a pumpkin. No one seemed to be more thrilled then mom to go out in the cold and to walk in a muddy field to find a perfect orange pumpkin for me.  While we were at the "Plumpers Pumpkin Patch" we saw little people (kids) ride the stinkiest big dogs (ponies).   Mommy said she use to ride them when she was younger!  Maybe thats why she so stinky! hehehe!

My Daddy's Hand
Daddy, take my hand in yours and you will plainly see,
How very much I need you now to love and care for me.
As my little hand grows, I will need you even more,
Everything I do in life, I have never done before.
Teach me to be kind and loving, sharing and forgiving,
Show me through your acts of love the pure joy of living.
The years will pass by quickly and one day I will grown,
I will pass what you have taught me onto children of my own.
Hold me alway in your thoughts and remember when we are apart,
The special love between a child and a daddy's heart.
With love from your little baby girl,  Cordelia Blue.
