| 06.19.05 Father's Day! It was daddy's day. Daddy I watched the F-1 races in the morning. I want to be a race car driver someday, mommy says it's okay! We went to go visit Great Grandma & pa Hanson. I cheered up Great Grandma when I sat on her lap! She always likes it when I visit! In afternoon, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate Father's day! Grandpa killed a GIANT BIRD (turkey) and BBQ on the grill. It was soooo yummy. Daddy liked the music box (CD player) and bird house I got him for his special day. | 06.24 through 28.05 Grandpa Preston came to visit me for the very first time. We had lots of fun. On Friday we went to the Columbia River Maritime Museum and Astoria Column. My 2nd cousin, Amanda came long too. On Saturday, we stayed home. Grandpa and daddy worked in the yard, I took lots of naps with mommy. On Sunday we went to the Portland Rose Garden for a yummy picnic. We walked along all the pretty roses! We took lots of pictures On Monday, we when shopping at the Woodburn Outlet Company Stores for clothes for Grandpa. He's pants were getting too small just like mine! | 06.30.05 I went to see Doctor Meyer this afternoon. She says I'm 10 pounds and 23" long. She checked my eyes, ears, legs and arms. She wanted to make sure I could raise and turn my head. She says my tracking of her is like a 4 month old baby. WOW! I must be doing really good. I was suppose to get shots today but Mommy says the CDC (*Center for Disease Control Report*) tracks all the bad (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) that happen to other little babies like me when they get baby shots compared to the reported disease cases. There is too much of a gap. Mommy, Daddy and Doctor Myer feel the risk of side effects are to great for my little body, so I'm not going to get shots until I'm older... This makes Mommy nervous but she is going to protect me from all the badness. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 07.04.05 Today was my first Fouth of July celebration. We went to Stephen's house (Hilts) to watch fireworks and eat strawberry cheese cake. YUMMY! Mommy was so concerned with the low noise hurting my ears so we watched the fireworks from Stephen's upstairs bedroom. He has the coolest room with a fort and lots of toys! The lights were so pretty and I was so tired and went to sleep. Stevey (4 years old) was so concerned that the fireworks that were shooting up into the air were goin' hit an airplane and make it crash in to his house and kill his family. But Mommy was there to tell Stevey and I that the planes were taking the night off and everything was going to be okay. | 07.08.05 - 07.12.05 Grandma's here! Grandma's here! All the way from Colorado! We had such a wonderful visit! I wish she didn't have to go away again. On Saturday we went to Long Beach, Washington to see the ocean and walk along the boardwalk. On Sunday, we BBQ with Grandma and Grandpa Hanson. And on Monday, we went to the Chinese Garden in downtown Portland. It was so pretty and calming. I took lots of long naps in the shade. The lady at the gate said I was the youngest visitor that day. They had a tea house where we had lunch. After that we went to get our toes painted at mommy's favorite spot in the pearl district. The ladies were really nice and I wanted my toes done too, but I was too young... Grandma's says I'm getting so big and mommy is doing a good job. I think so too. I hope Grandma comes to visit again real soon! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
