Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector of the Commonwealth. This guy's making a wall looking more beautiful in a pub here in Leuven. It's called "Het Gemene Best" (Dutch for the Commonwealth: in the 17th century England had Oliver ruling the country. He had deposed king Charles I and governed England for 11 years). You can find the pub in the Fonteinstraat... I can't remember the housenumber though... hehe... but it's worth a visit; you can't miss it, it's on the corner of the street. I've got some brand-new paintings hanging there by the way!!! Thanks to Carl who gave me this commission (the same guy from the wallpainting in Zeeland). Since it is a wallpainting I used acrylics for a faster result (July '02). |
