Even before a lot of the UK cartoon markets went belly-up, I started sending my cartoons to the US. The 'humor-divide' didn't exist through the 70s and 80s when Handlseman, Cotham, Schwadron and Bud Grace filled Punch with some of the funniest cartoons I'd ever seen, and it doesn't exist now.
Except that I think US cartoons are funnier.
