| The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker Coolest console Zelda game. (Except maybe the new one coming up in Q3 '05!) It's cell shading is not, as some people might think, a draw-back but a new idea that adapts well to the Zelda scene. The basic plot is you are a young boy living on a small island on a vast ocean. One day, your sister gets kidnapped by a Giant Bird, who, it turns out, mistook her for Zelda, as Ganon is once again returned to power and seeking the triforce. You are drawn into the struggle and will find yourself sailing across the ocean, exploring mysterious dungeons and fighting massive bosses to rid the world of Ganon yet again. Sailing is a tiny bit boring but the occasional storm, shark attack or sunken treasure helps to liven it up. Loading is unbelievable. When you step out of a building it loads for maybe 2.5 seconds then you can go to any of the 49 islands or find sunken treasure or do anything outside without anymore loading. One of my favorite parts is the hundreds of sidequests to get pieces of heart, treasure charts, ruppees and tons of other things. Island hopping is awesome if you get tired of what you're supposed to do or, more prabobly, are stuck. A definite must-have for any Zelda fan. This game is AWESOME! |
