Why My Written Work Is So Bad

All through my life writing and reading have been a very difficult task.  Growing up I was exposed to two languages- Portuguese and English.  I spoke Portuguese to my parents and, being American, I spoke English to my brothers.  During a crucial time in my language development, 1st and 2nd grade, I completed my schooling in Portugal.  After learninging to read, write, and speak Portuguese as fluent as an American 1st and 2nd grader could, we moved back to America.  I was forced to make up 2 years of English when we returned.  At this point in my educational career I began to experience hearing loss.  I often feel that hearing is a very important tool when learning a language- obviously.  Not having normal hearing may have had an effect on my ability to read, write, and speak English.
Later in to my colligate year, I realized that I had always had difficulties reading and difficulties performing visual observation.  I believe these difficulties had to do with dislexia.  It's never been proven, but I feel I may have it.  My brother has told me he may have dislexia as well, which geneticly is further proof.

I have always been a visual person.  Art is my thing.  My way of expression.  I strongly feel pictures paint a thousand words and believe words can some times be more damaging than good.

Why have I chosen to share this?  LOL.  Not for a chance to be lazy on this site.  Lazy, is the last thing I am.  Simply to help people realize there is more to me than they realize.
