    i. bragging rights

well, the intrams are over, and strangely, we bagged too many golds to be called an honors class. it certainly redefined the honor section's image of being physically challenged. also, i'd like to thank rogador for the support in our dance and in the intrams itself. her intimidating comments actually bagged us the gold for the dance. she could've been a little nicer about it, though. :D

ii. so much for bragging rights

today was the distribution of report cards for the first term and i'm not really sure if it was higher or lower than expected. all i know is it's low and i will be getting only a third honor's certificate for this term, thanks to algebra. i really need to do better academically.

iii. one plane flying too high and the other too low

michael persuaded me to enter the fnm today. had to call up my mother and father to ask permission, fix things such as how i'm going to go there and go home. hitched a ride with michael after dropping his sister on academy one. went to his house, then went to atc. we came too late and the tournament already started. played a few games, ate at the food court, and saw a table swarming with teachers, including the likes of rupaniana, ms sabarre, etc. went back there, watched the games and went home.

i know the title has no relation to the topic whatsoever. i just saw 2 planes while waiting for michael's dad to go to the car. one was too high, and the other too low. un lang. :D

    practice, practice, and more practice.

well, yesterday's outreach, i'm really tired. a lot of my classmates turned out to be absent today in search for sleep. more practices, tests, and stupid films about nutrition tortured my body and mind for the whole day. after dismissal, we practiced again. we then went to gliza's house to do more practice simultaneously with her sister's dance. ate a lot, tired as hell, and then went home. took a bath, and rushed to atc to buy a pair of shorts for tomorrow. after one hour of searching, we finally managed to find a really dark blue one, which was the closest we could get to black. i'm so wasted. i'm going to sleep now.

riding a bus, eating attorney, while singing to the tune of sailing.

since there are quite a number of topics to talk about, i'll divide them into subgroups. hehe

    i. the church with a creek

before going to the village itself, we went to the parish responsible for the construction of the village. we basically did a tour thing there. we were awed by its beauty and uniqueness. almost everything was made out of wood (or leaves). the roof were woven fan things, the chairs were tree stumps, etc. the cemetery was quite creepy, but it looks amazing, too, with the winding corridors with holes on it. the sad thing is, most of the tombstone things there didn't even have names on it, so it's quite weird, too. there is also this smaller version of the church itself. it is usually used for weddings and the like. it also had this choir balcony thing that entertained us for quite a bit. also, we sort of acted out a wedding just for the fun of it, making kat the bride and me the groom (shouldn't it be this guy?). owel.

ii. under the sun under the sampaloc tree

we went to the village grotto thing, and met with our foster mothers. me and amanda's mother's name was cindy and she looked quite like miss laqui alon. we cleaned around the house and peeled tortang talong with the eldest child, bambi, while amanda cooks her sopas. cooked my tocino and rice and went to the playground thing, which was under a sampaloc tree. we all ate there, and then had the puppet show thing. i guess it wasn't so bad considering that it was prepared only a few hours earlier. they had a coloring session thing and then they had the games. while all of that was happening, the dirty ice cream guy was having a field day with all the customers wanting to buy his ice cream. we left an hour after that. we didn't exactly have a teary goodbye. heh.

    iii. bus rides

i really think that the best parts of going out of campus as a class are the bus rides. maybe it's not the same for others, but that's what i think. maybe the reason behind this is that we get to do lots of kabangagan inside the bus, such as continuously eating all sorts of junk foods and singing all sorts of stupid songs. another example of our kabangagan is when someone starts to offer food we all just rush there like a pack of hungry.. erm.. i dunno. praying the rosary has also been a tradition everytime we ride the bus.

    iv. shakeland

i have spotted quite a number (well, for my standards) of crossdressers (let's just call them shakepeople) today. i saw a group walk by while we were entering the church mentioned in part i. i also saw 'alan' the shake stand vendor, who has a crush on this guy and we keep on teasing him about it. he was quite a dresser, wearing a baby blue shirt for girls and white capri pants. he was also wearing a pony tail and makeup. i think he sort of looks sad. maybe because he misses this guy.

    v. this

i was quite bored during the program for the children, so i decided to color. this is just a teddy bear. this is a demonic sam worm. too bad i didn't get to take home mark's piece entitled 'demonic bunny'. it's really funny. these are just some examples of what we ate in the bus. somewhere there (particularly the lower left item) has a certain filling in there that this guy is crazy about.

    man, am i wasted today.

     massacre at gliza's

i'm currently blogging like it was saturday, but it's actually sunday. anyway, i went to gliza's house for more dance practice. since i was late, i had to wait for them to come back since they weren't there. the place was littered with cockroaches, mostly dead and covered with ants (thus the title "massacre at gliza's"). millipedes were also at large. this made manda, mariel and bea freak out often. we also had a practical test in the dance to make sure that everyone has memorized the dance and that we had good precision. they were going to go to atc to shop for the costume, but i opted to go home instead. stopped by ram shop to buy shrapnel blasts and went home.

mentos cherry flavor tastes like cherry flavored air freshener.

to the other end of the spectrum

from yesterday's very bad, it suddenly transferred to the other side of the spectrum, making this day a really good one. from start to end, the recollection was the best one i had. from start to end, we laughed and cried through all of it. from the mass, the foot signing, the meditation (also known as the iyakan sessions), the videoke prayers, until the clothes donating, the human carpet (which i am proud to say that we finished at around 59 seconds), the shoe relay, and the 'simbang gabi' love story, i really enjoyed it.

another dance practice at gliza's. usual stuff, new steps, polishing, etc. it was fun, except that i stepped on dog poo. that reminded me of a similar incident during grade 5 at eibee's house. i have to wash it. i wonder if the smell will go away?

by the way, that's a pic of my foot. it's full of signatures from the foot autograph game. it was really fun!

a day just not made for someone like me

this day is just so unlucky. to start with, my talumpati was all over the place and i didn't execute well. i blame it on my stupid writing and my procrastination. hack. to top it all off, i lost my wallet and my cellphone. asked the janitors, classmates to no avail. i really regret not reporting this to the authorities. this day really sucks.

well that was a crappy blog. bye.

     the, dance practices, and speeches

well, sison wasn't there since her section was in their outreach. matic subbed in the first period, followed by mariko. matic still looks like an aging block of cheese, and mariko seemed nicer than usual. we just used the second period for dance practice. sick.

more dance practice at gliza's. had to escape from the guards due to the principal's decree to cage the students inside the campus, unless you have a hall pass. what a bitch. had more complications due to lack of communication with mang danny, in other words, he needs a cellphone.

since rogador delayed our death, i am going to present my talumpati third in line. it's really nerve-wrecking since she looks so... cold. also, bea's presentation was so good that it added to my being nervous. hack. i direly need to practice.

    speech tickets are still fun.

    i. tests, teachers, and the talumpati

well, the test results are in and it's worse than i expected it to be, i think. strangely, my scores in three subjects have a consistent number of errors.

about the talumpati, i took advantage of all the finals checking to cram my talumpati. algebra and ap were used to its maximum potential for this cause. i couldn't say the same for trig and chem, thanks to paclarin's lessons and lasap's reflections. even the bells of the angelus made me panic and i really felt like i was in some kind of death row, and the priest.. erm, should we say doctor of the church was coming up next after lunch. frantically doing everything just to memorize the piece, and i did, only to find out that only the first ten will present today. oh well. at least i still get more time to practice. :D

    ii. rains

the rains are back and it's cold again. the rains, thunder and lightning was really spectacular, especially during fil time when the rains were at its peak. i really don't expect that classes are suspended tomorrow and it's gonna be cold. sad.

    speech tickets are fun. :D

    i. eight tests and a week later...

...life is crap as usual. even the with start of a new term, it's already crammed with requirements to deliver. some teachers have been total pains in the ass, while others, have.. also been pains in the ass.

to start with, rogador makes us pass the test papers around 10 minutes earlier than the required time of 1 hour, which is quite a big amount of time considering the 100 item english test. Another thing that bugged me is that she has been cramming requirements to be submitted in the week, such as the sanaysay. she only gave us three days to memorize our talumpati and think of an appropriate costume. plus, she was a total bitch during the dance practice, since she asked us to repeat all of the steps to improve our precision. well, she was right, but she could've been nicer. bitch.

the title suddenly didn't fit. heh.

ii. practice at gliza's and the concert

i arrived late due to something called pokemon fire red. my practice wasn't really that long. we mostly wasted away our time by watching gliza's recital. all of them hitched a ride with me to la salle for the i love la salle concert. i wasn't really interested in watching. i'm only curious in what i missed. ok, that was vague.

i just realized that today is september 11. well, screw bush to hell. :D
