It had been raining heavily for 5 days and the fighting never stopped.
Charlie had my men
surrounded and the water levels due to rain had us fighting in waist
deep water in many places. I
had a wound in my gut the size of a small Vietnamese child. I would
have died but I sealed my
wound with a rodent. I was enraged to see my platoon leader get his
head blown off while he was
taking a dump. Charlie knew the rules and he had broken them. No
man was to die while taking
a shit. It's one thing for a soldier to die and them find a lump of
shit in his pants, but to kill a soldier
while taking a shit was a crime in itself. Many don't know this, but
there are rules in a war. Every
war is different. This terrible war crime to date has gone
unpunished. The American Government
has refused to bring these war criminals to justice. I write this in
hope of finding more out here on
the internet who would write congress and tell the world about this
great injustice. Another one of
the men in my platoon was a military boxer by the name of Benny "Two
Fists" Bardoux. Benny
was a good kid who's only fault in life was that Charlie broke the
rules and shot Benny wile taking
a dump. At first we didn't know what killed Benny. We found his
corpse with his pants around
his ankles and him lying in a puddle of his own shit. There was no
bullet wounds or shrapnel to be
found on his body. The army's coroner shed some light on the
picture. It seems Benny was shot
in the asshole. That is why no bullet wound was ever found. Charlie
had the last laugh that day. I
am sure they got a kick out of the way they tagged Benny. I lye
awake some nights and I think
about Benny and that bullet in his ass and ask why God? Now more
than ever the American
government has the means and technology to bring these war criminals
to justice. I can't tell you
how many Vietcong I could have killed but sparred their lives because
they were going to the
washroom. Write congress and tell them about the terrible crimes like
Benny suffered and ask
them why they allow these War criminals to go
unpunished.
