| There is SO much to be said for Paula Burns. She was 21 when we got her and she'd been rodeoin' on and off all her life. She taught Kandace SO much, but mostly she taught her confidence. Kandace rode her for a little over a year before Kandace was ready for something a little faster. We sold her to a wonderful family who I know will take wonderful care of her. She's an awesome horse. Kandace and I considered retiring her instead of selling her and keeping her here, but Paula Burns loved children. And she loved the rodeo life. She was always willing and confident. Kandace was holding places in the top 5 everywhere we rode with this horse. She was very consistent and very true to her love. We get to see her sometimes when the family we sold her to comes to the rodeos, but we miss her being around here quite a bit. |
