Tieback Undercut

Here are three photos for some of the younger Buzztowners. A few of you have written asking for more photos of undercuts and other similar styles. These photos show the cutting of a tieback undercut, which is certainly one of the less conventional styles (apart from a mohawk, of course).

The photos shown here were kindly provided by Scerbo Video Productions, and are from their Perfect Buzzcuts Vol. 2 instructional videotape.

Here the shoulder length hair is combed entirely to one side and the sides are cut down to skin level with the bare clipper blade.

The clipping continues all the way around the back and sides of the head, cut all the way up to a level area where the longer hair grows.

Finally, the hair is gathered back into a ponytail and tied back with a rubber band.
