Induction cut

This photo was provided by a Buzztown reader and shows a standard U.S. military induction cut in progress. The induction cut is given to most men who enter the military services in the United States (and also in some other countries). One of the first items of business for a guy going through boot camp is the complete divestiture of their hair, which quickly brings the recruit to the reality of his new world. The induction cut is made by clipping the hair to the bare skin. The scalp is not shaved (with lather and a razor or an electric razor), but only a very short stubble is left.

Induction Cut.
