Private Scholarships

When scholarship applications or information arrive in the CAP Office, a folder is established and filed in the in the black filing cabinet located by the entrance of the CAP Office. Files are kept alphabetically there. For ease of service via the web, scholarships are listed here by the deadline date. To access information about scholarships with current dates, use your mouse to scroll down to the later dates; it’s easy. Please check the information provided on their site to make sure that the information provided is current and accurate.

Periodically, the CAP Office receives scholarships that require the schools’ nomination. These scholarships are usually very limited in number and are extremely competitive. Most will require a high GPA, with comparable SAT/ACT scores, dedicated community service and school involvement in activities and/or sports. If you are interested in any of these scholarships and wish to be nominated, scholarships, please come by this office to discuss the nomination process. **We must receive your request for consideration at least two weeks prior to the postmark deadline listed on the scholarship. (Example, submit request to your advisor for Emory Scholars Nomination by October 24). Thank you for adhering to this request.

11/30	Excellence in 3D Animation Award	Cash gift awarded quarterly by Troy Studios to encourage students to pursue Graphics Arts and Animation. To enter, download free software from animoids.com and then use that software to create animated characters or animated movie props and sets.
12/05	Toyota Community Scholars Program	Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. sponsors the 8^th annual program for seniors. Recognizes academic excellence with emphasis on community service.
12/10	Burger King Scholars	One student from each high school can be nominated. Works an average of 15 hours per week, 2.5 or higher GPA. Come to College Advising if interested.
