It was around US Open 2001 and there was so much hype going on about this young American player. That was also when I started to pay close attention to tennis, and I saw Andy playing here and there. But he really caught my eye during his quarter-final match against Lleyton Hewitt. *Gulp*When he played, there was so much heart in him. As emotional as he can get, I personally like that side of him, even though the temper can get outta control at times. The very first example that comes to my mind, and the first time I've witnessed Andy in that type of situation would be from this match in the 5th set. As we recall, he was willing to bet the linesman's house that he made the wrong call, lol. But in the end, you know he is very passionate about the game of tennis and anything else that he does. It is always evident that he's out there giving his 150% all the time. I'm kinda like that myself, and I always feel that I can relate to him easily. That's why I like him and enjoy watching him so much. THE "I can't believe I missed Andy" storySo I finally had a summer off with absolutely nothing to do (2002). For some odd reason, I got myself into going to England, and booked last minute tickets for a flight around the last week of July. *Newsflash* TMS Canada was in Toronto, my hometown this summer and Andy was in the tournament! I was thinking, YaY, I finally get to see him play in person! Being the loser that I am, prone to unfortunate things of course, the tournament was being held during the time that I'm in England. Heartbreak? Yes. I even tried to get myself out of going to England, but that didn't work. That's not the end though.The (only) good news out of this ordeal? Andy was the finalist in the tournament. But I was also aware that Mandy Moore was in Toronto during the summer shooting a movie. Two unrelated things right? MY ASS! I'm not surprised something happened between them - I was expecting it, and she commented that Andy was cute *DuH*. As far as we know, they're still dating right now. They HAD to get together in Toronto? Grrrrrr - I can't believe I missed him! To this day, I'm still convinced that if I was in town, I could have stopped them. Go figure. My Andy Wish List
