With his fastest serve of the match registering at 139 mph, Roddick served his way to 16 aces in the one-hour, 46-minute match. Roddick never gave Dosedel the opportunity to assert himself in the match and dominated on serve with 79% accuracy on his first serves. Roddick will face Jack Brasington, another Florida native, in the second round. His Grand Slam debut came at last year's Open where he lost in the first round to Albert Costa.
