All these houses were so pretty on the hillside/mountainside.  So many different colors, styles, looked just like the postcards I've seen and even mailed some of you.
Not bad- considering I was driving as I took the pics.  Mike think's I'm "Picture Crazy"...LOL
Oh well.  1st time for everything and I want to have pics to look back at and remember.
All I can say is that the actual viewing was even more beautiful than what my camera gave me.
These pics don't do it all justice!  I wish I could have walked around and seen more.
This was one of the areas of the city I talked about...  narrow roads, lots of vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians.
Sorry pic is dark...camera isn't doing it justice.
Again, the camera didn't do the scenery justice.  It was actually "lighter" and "brighter".  The river was a pretty shade of green.  So many different colored houses and buildings built up the hill/mountain.
I guess this is a mountain?  I have never really seen one like the Rockies, just pictures & movies.
Sure was up high.  Some were mountains and some mountains had castles but I couldn't get the pics.
Went thru quite a few tunnels.  I couldn't help but think of "Princess Diana" and her fateful tunnel.  This one on left was long and dark.  One on left was even longer!  Danielle was asking to go in more.  "My little daredevil!"  LOL  I wish the pic of the house on top of the tunnel on left would have turned out better.  It was more cheerier and brighter looking.  Again, the camera didn't do it justice.  It was so cute, tucked up there.  I think my jaw hung open most of the driving.  Someone decided to go a different route home so we kinda did some sight seeing while driving until we found the original Autoban again.  Shoulda just stuck with the original route in the first place, but who am I?
Driving in Germany beats all I've ever driven before.  They're crazy over here.  Bicyclists and pedestrians ALL OVER the place and you have to give "right of way" to them.  In some parts of the city the roads are extremely narrow and parking on the sides doesn't help.  Driving on the autoban (amid the people going over 100mph and riding my be-hind) doesn't make me as nervous as riding down the narrow and VERY  BUSY streets.  Never know what is gonna come out of where around here... and then there is their crazy "right of way" rules.  If you're not on a priority road and someone is to your right on a road that crosses yours, you have to let them go before you... even if you're moving steadily.  They have the right of way.  I have no clue how many times I probably missed giving right of way where it was due.  There aren't yield signs to help here...and you have to keep an eye out for each intersection.  So much to look for and pay attention to!  Hard to see the things you want to see or look around when you're driving.  Too busy paying attention!    Took us about 2:15 hours to make it home after we did our "sight seeing" trying to find the right road.   It was fun!   Maybe next time would be easier.
