Passing Dream (Imagine...)- Let's see it By Rocky Valkyrie It is a full 52 years since the creation of the Imajin system. Ichi is now a full-fledged politician. But he is still a minor influence on the Imajin society. One of his uncles, around 2 years prior, also made a breakthrough, in like his grand uncle. It was the creation of the Automaton, named after the region that he lived in, which are robotic androids who lifelessly serve the people of the Imajin society by taking over most jobs, such as politics, law-enforcement, construction and all those. Though lifeless, these easily- shapeable machines have specific purposes and incredible artificial intelligence. This could be the most dangerous thing humanity has created yet. They have their own will and thought, but they have specific purposes. One of the Rouri family, one August Mitchell, who is one of the only remaining practicing doctors alive, is a great opposer of this practice. He says that with the Automaton and the Imajin, humanity will truly sink into weakness. Soon, he deems, most of humanity will not be able to walk by itself. The signs of this are already showing; many of the younger children, around 10 years of age, have lost the ability to walk by themselves because they are so dependent on the Imajin. One of the Automaton, though, counters this weakness with the creation of the Auto-Ped. The Auto-Ped allows humans to move about freely without walking. Is such convenience wrong? On the outskirts of Asnas, a pseudo-military meeting is being held by a group Dream Chasers. There are only 7 of them there, but they are far stronger than any of the people in the Imajin society. All of them have successfully used the upgraded Imajin to view into their past lives and acquire the strength and skill of the people that the used to be. Their leader, at this gathering, is one Marina Valentino, the one called 'Le Feu du Coeur,' is a woman. "So! I trust you all know what we're here to do!" Marina commands. "I guess," one of the men say. Marina strokes her light brown hair, and says, "Good. But I don't see one person. We're missing someone, aren't we?" "Yes." a man braves. "Who is it this time? Is it Kenny again?" she asks gruffly, looking fiercely around the room. "No! I'm here!" Kenny says, shivering every time he hears her voice. "Then who is it?" Marina demmands, angrily. At this point, young Jane Mariana walks in, ducking her head at the short door, and aplologizes immediately. She has a soft face, something that is hard to be angry at. She stands a bit tall, with dirty-ish blonde hair, white, clear complexion, shoulder-length hair, with an almost-perfect hourglass figure. She looks at the waiting group innocently with her shiny blue and green eyes. A full, stark, grim figure of good build and great muscle walks up to her. Marina looks up at her a bit, being just a little shorter than she, looking at her with her intense dark jet eyes, light complextion shining, beaming at her, her less-than-attractive face staring at Jane. Jane, innocently enough, with a child's expression and very cute facial features, jut smiles at Marina, melting her ice cold heart. "I'm sorry, miss Valentino, I just got off the phone with Bliss Rouri." Jane says, trying to excuse her tardiness. "You've tried it too many times. It'll never work." Marina scoffs plainly at her. "That's not very nice. Negativity will get our race nowhere..." Jane pleads. "Yeah, yeah... whatever. Let's just continue our meeting. It's his son we're going for, isn't it?" Marina asks aloud, brushing through the planning papers. There is a general consent and agreement. Jane then says, "You know what we're trying to do, right? We don't hurt him. We have to convince him." "We do our job, then you do yours. You don't even have to come with us." Marina insists. "But I must. I insist." Jane says, managing subtle anger and malice. With a bit of frustration, Marina gives in, "Fine. So what is our plan?" The one named Kenny speaks up, "We split up into 3 teams. We've code named them North, West and South-East. As their names state, we will attack in 3 firm, different directions. We've sent them a notice, and we will attack from the North and West, creating a diversion." He says all this very methodically and rigidly. "That's our plan? They'll see through it and send out those robots. Even those Imajin numbskulls could see through that plan." Marina complains. "Not so, Lady Valentino," Kenny says, pushing up his glasses, "The third party, consisting of yourself, Lady Mariana and James, will come through the North-West, climbing over the tower and wall, and sneak past the North troops to the little island-like area in the center. You will be faced with minimal resistance." Kenny says all this and trumphantly looks up at Marina, saying, "We want them to try to second-guess us." Marina laughs and tells him, "Nice work kid. It might actually work." "And if it doesn't?" Jane questions. "Then we'll break right through!!!" Marina says, her eyes glowing. This causes Jane to giggle very quietly. She then exits the room, since the breifing is, for the most part, over. Marina and the men with their childish, boyish charm, discuss the details of the attack. They plan every last detail, predicting the outcome of various attack patterns and strategies. Due to their exposure to the upgraded Imajin, their creativity level is very high. Quite a distance from there, clear outside the former Andante area, another meeting is being held. Within the walls, there are many Gaelics. There are around 12 of them in there, talking. Though there are many of them, they are all low-leveled in the social structure of the Gaelics. None of the prominent figures are there. They are planning their own attack, and by some twist of fate, they both have chosen the same day. And about the same time. The Gaelics plan an all-out attack on the South gate. What are the motives of the parties? Who will reach their goal first? Only time will tell now. It is the appointed day, and Ichi is scheduled for a breifing about a quarrel over city limits and territory. It is 2 hours before the meeting. Ichi is in his waiting room, immersed in an article about the history of the territory, which is in the universally acclaimed newspaper, The Times. He figures it makes little sense to call it universally acclaimed, considering it is the only newpspaper left running. Left running by humans, at least, since there are other, Automaton-controled newspapers which make little to no sense to Ichi. Ichi is sitting back on the fat red couch, reading the article, smelling the smell of his freshly brewed coffee, steam coming forth from it. The air is a little cold, and since the Imajin isn't at work in that area, he has his socks on, along with his shoes. Even his breath clouds up in steam. He is in a brightly illuminated glass room, in isolation; everywhere but that room has got the luxuries of the Imajin. His workers stare at him through the glass walls; what a fool he is, they think, when he could be warm and cozy, he chooses to suffer the cold. These men who work for him aren't working because they want to work, but because they want positions in the government, like Ichi's. But less and less people are working, because of the convenience of the Imajin, coupled with the manual working power of the Automaton. Most of the people who still work, though, do not use the Auto-Ped. The only advancement not made in the past 50+ years is in weaponry. But then came the Automaton, and they are humanity's weapons. No longer would soldiers have to fight each other in petty wars. Now lifeless robots would do it for them. But regardless of all that, most people enjoy the age of Imajin, and that is why they do not go up against it. Except for the Gaelics and Dream Chasers, that is. But humanity has evolved. The use of human legs, the strength of human hormones, and many other things have weakened. A man is now not so quickly aroused when he sees a woman naked. But the Automaton have created pills for humans to take when they want to breed. But even that has decreased. The area where Ichi is waiting is in the International Meeting Hall, and that building is surrounded on 4 corners by tall gates attached to towers. They go on for about 5 feet, then stop, and are replaced by a high voltage web of wires, then in the middles, there are gates where people come in. There are 4 gates, one in each cardinal direction. All the way across, it's like that. Tower-wires-gate-tower-wires-gate. The Dream Chasers are the ones to attack first. They launch attacks in the North and West gate, almost consecutively, and the alarms are set off. The Automaton flock at all gates. The Dream Chasers attack fiercely and quickly, knocking almost 2 of the Automaton per second. But whenever 1 bites it, another one comes to replace it. Or so it seems. Kenny lets out a war cry; it's the cue for Lady Valentino to lead the mission over the tower and into the compound. The towers look like they go on forever, but the Dream Chasers just jump over them like they were undersized hurdles. They boom past the North gate Automaton, destroying a few on the way, and make their way into the compound. At about the same time, the Gaelics launch their attack, and are surprised to find the Automaton waiting for them at the South gate. Regardless, they attack head on, taking a few minutes with each, but beating them definately and moving forward. Then, when they make it to the building, 8 of them stay behind to slow down the Automatons' progress, and 4 of them go inside to get what they want. Ichi, oblivious to all of this, steps out of the waiting room, changes his clothes with the Imajin, then walks down a hall, to where the meeting is to be held. He sees his bodyguards being taken out at the corner of the hall, and being pummeled a few feet in the direction they are flying. 2 figures come up to him; unfamilliar figures, and definately hostile ones. He balls his left fist and uppercuts the first one to get to him, then as the man punches back with his right arm, Ichi dodges it to his left and uses his right palm to smash the man's jaw, knocking him down. The other man comes at Ichi menacingly. Ichi hops forward with incredible speed and punches quickly at the man's nose. The man waddles backwards for a bit, then grabs his nose. The nose is bleeding. He looks up, and Ichi's foot is in the air. It comes down fast and hard on the man. He is passed out on the floor. A man and a woman come out of the hallway and see him. They scream some barely audible names and approach the fallen. He hears a disturbance behind him. Some shots are being fired, and more his bodyguards seem to have been beaten. 2 women and a dark-skinned man come out. One of the women, the gentler looking one, jumps all the way above his quite tall glass room, right behind him. "Boo!" she whispers into his ear, almost sensually. Ichi turns his head to look at her, and she strokes the back of his ear. Ichi falls on the ground, cold. She picks him up as if he is weightless and puts him over her shoulder. She jumps back over and, with the other woman, run off out. The dark-skinned man puts his hand on the glass room and pushes it. It flies off and smashes into the 4 people in the hall across the room. The dark-skinned man also flees. To be continued...
