Leave her alone... or else!

Rocky's Anime/Manga Review for... Don't Leave Me Alone Daisy

Reviewed: 12 Anime Episodes(Subtitled and Dubbed)

Characters: The main characters are Reijiro Techno, the crazy kid who starts the whole mess, Matsuzawa "Daisy-chan" Hitomi, the title character, Yamakawa X, the unfortunate classmate, Mimi-chan, Techno's 'pet' missile, a 'Senior' who I don't know the name of, and Ms.Rarako, the meek, insane teacher. The characters are overactive and insane. All of them. They all seem to play into whatever the whim of Techno is on that particular episode. Except for maybe Hitomi, who Techno named "Daisy" the first day he saw her. All in all, the characters are either pretty forgettable or just stupid.

Story: It's supposed to be a lighthearted romantic comedy... or so I hear. Just watching it, I'd never be able to pick that up. It's about Techno, who lives with his grandfather, who is a mad scientist. Techno becomes crazy like him and lives in a bomb shelter, waiting for the world to end. Then, Hitomi by chance shows up at his house, and he falls in love. But when he gets out, she's gone, and he sees a Daisy on his lawn, and he names her Daisy. Then insanity ensues as he tries to get her, or actually, he says he wants to own her. It's an insane story with insane substories and incredibly shallow humor.

Audio/Visual: It's not that bad in the audio department, but the visuals are too zany and crazy for my tastes. But it's not all hot coals to walk on, though. I do like the opening and ending sequences. They're sort of catchy.

Overall: Well, I wouldn't reccomend this series. For me, it was like 9 episodes too long. If you like stupid comedy, then it's for you. It also stuck me as being a bit creepy. One character is semi-okay, and that's Yamakawa X, who experiences bad luck all the time. But, it's from there.
