First of all, here are a few updates on the downstairs.
The back bedroom that used to be Devin's room is now Keith's rock room.
As you can see, he is very much enjoying spreading out his collection.
The biggest change downstairs was having the washer and dryer moved
out
of the cramped utility room and into the downstairs bath.
Not much else has changed downstairs.
You can see more pictures of the downstairs in the before construction
pictures.
Here's my favorite room downstairs--the kitchen!
And for some enticement to come visit--this is the view from the guest room, which is located downstairs.
And now, the completed upstairs.........
Before we started, there was no stairwell to the upstairs.
Keith had the brilliant idea of putting a picture window at the top
of the stairwell,
which brings in lots of light.
The central part of the upstairs is a living room area.
Here you can see the stairwell and two storage closets.
Beyond that is a bathroom and the master bedroom, which has another
bathroom attached to it.
Another view of the living room area.
Devin likes to sit in this chair with Mommy before bed to read books.
Here's the other side of the living room area.
Looking to the other end of the house, there are three bedrooms down the hallway.
One of the bedrooms down the hallway will serve as the nursery.
Devin is in another bedroom and the third is currently not in use.
This is our master bedroom. We love the windows!
And here is the master bathroom.
