This is the front view of our house taken when we moved in last summer.
Notice that there are no windows on the second story--that's because the
second floor was an empty shell, just studs, siding and the roof!
We fell in love with the location of the house--located a short distance
from the mine where Keith works--and the potential to finish the house
as we wanted. What we did not realize is that it would take us nearly
a year to arrange financing (banks do not like unfinished houses) and find
a contractor to do the job!
Here is the view of the back of the house--as you can see the view from the property was another attractive feature of the house.
The completed downstairs consists of a large common area for the living room and dining room. In this picture you can also see (going from left to right) the bathroom, utility room and kitchen. The wall on the far left will eventually be the stairs to the second floor.
This view shows the other part of the common area that serves as our living room. The open door in the background is currently Devin's bedroom. After construction is finished upstairs, this will become Keith's Rock Room. Our bedroom and the entry is located off picture to the left.
