Past The Rock
The Marshlands
The Marshlands is a creepy place, filled with many nd potentially deadly creatures. More importantly, it is home to one of the monoliths in the game. Guarded by the dreaded Shade Conservator, this monolith grants, temporarily, the skill of Greater Obsfucation. There are several main areas to the marshes. There is the outer marshes, where all the Greenskin creatures are. There is the water areas, places where only the flyers and the swimmers can go safely. And last, but not least, there is Mount Grumbar. Accesible only from the toll bridge for the hefty sum of 250 cryl (or from the back side by the flyers and swimmers), the mountain is a realm within a realm. This is where the really nasty NPCs of the realm hang out. No peeking is allowed under the mountain, which makes it that much more deadly. Orcs roam underneath the mount's three levels. DO NOT try to survive all three levels before at least level 50, and then only if you are strong or foolhardy. My verdict? Great vacation spot for those who like rancid water with nasty neighbors.
Hell
Self explanatory. A very nasty place, filled with demons, deathknights, and the "creme de la creme" of the NPCs. Only the meanest and nastiest of the NPCs tarry around this area of the dimensional web. There is a small "anteroom" outside the gates, which are guarded by the fearsom Guardian Hounds, who have a nasty habit of ganging up on you when you least need it or expect it. Lost Souls are easy to kill and inhabit the outter part of Hell. Those are the ONLY easy ones to kill. Once past the hounds, you face the onslaught of the demons and enslaved souls in the southern part of Hell. Past the river and along it, you have the temple and the darkstone stronghold. These are the homes for probably the baddest nasties in the game. And, past all that, it gets worse! You have the hidden marshalling grounds for the legions of Hell. Your typical newbie nightmare. My verdict? Hell will freeeze over before I try to take it on less than level 100!
Dimensional Web
For those programmers out there, the web can symbolize an infinite loop. Hard to break out of and very monotonous if you don't know where you are going. It loops around in a big circle around the realms, with various offshoots, some leading to other realms, some leading nowhere. Only parts of the web are sanctuary, so it is possible to get killed and not know where to go to get your stuff back. My verdict? Come in to my parlour, said the spider to the fly!
The Underground (Gotgul)
Another fun place, a dream for all those who like mid-level play with crazy named NPCs. Bop off scurrying spiders, chase down a blind mammoot, or wreak havoc in the Wabble villiage. This realm is great for any player over level 20. The stuff dropped in here is very valuable, with only 2 NPCs who give much of a fight, the Wise Wabble and the Wabble Official. The Blind Mammoot and the Grubworms are annoying only. The scarred surface world is something that anyone would be wise to stay away from unless they have sticky paste. Those twin suns can leave a nasty and deadly sunburn. My verdict? Great vacation spot for those who don't mind funny neighbors, but don't forget your sunscreen!
