The Legend of 2001
In the begining, there was only one. Only one solitary traveler of
the Dimensional Web who would lend his name to one of the strongest and oldest and most
secretive clans to ever
roam the realms. His name was Master Yoda.He was a loner, this Spectrite traveler to the
Nexus. He did not know much of the collection of realms called Rock. But he was a fast
learner, eager to explore this new place, learn its secrets, and conquer it. This was at
the time when
there were only 4 realms to explore, Hill, Varmouth, Town Square, and Arena. All the realms
were young, and all the other intrepidexplorers were new to these realms as well.
Tireeshek, Basher, Im25son to name a few.He did not stay long, this traveler and pioneer
to Rock.
Legend holds that Master Yoda wandered through the planar arch in the Nexus and
disappeared, to search out new realms and placesto explore. But he did leave a successor
to his fledgling clan. Darth. A Spectrite of cunning and luck, this new member of the clan
organized it and gave it the name House of Yoda, in honor of the explorer and adventurer
that had taught him. Few
would know at the time the heights to which this clan would rise.Darth was a good and
sharp leader of the House of Yoda. Many names were added to the clan; Chewie the
Spectrite, Bigmouththe Dryne, Mr. Oogey Boogey the Spectrite, Pianoman the Spectriteto
name a few of the members of the clan who joined during that time.
It was a time of peace and growth for both the clan and for Rock as
well. But that peace was only an illusion. Prophetsof Doom arose and predicted a great and
terrible Reset that would sweep through the realms and deprive all of the great strength,
wealth, wisdom, or armor that they had amassed. The House of Yoda dismissed these rumors
out of hand. How wrong
they were! The First Reset, or the Great Reset as it was called at the time, devastated
the clan. All that they had worked to attain was lost.Darth was devastated as well. The
luck and cunning that had been with him was gone. His strength was gone. Shamed, he
relinquished his title in the House of Yoda to another young Spectrite with more promise,
Big Jim.The naming of Big Jim as Highlord of the House of Yoda proved a pivotall moment
for the clan. Big Jim was a fearsome
fighter, feared far and wide for his hand-to-hand combat. Some say that it was from a
scarring experience he had during his youth. It was not long after the discovery of realms
to the northeast of the nexus, and the gate of Hell had been opened. Big Jim was unaware
of this at the time. Looking to take advantage of his ability to teleport to a fellow
Spectrite, he attempted a teleport to fellow Spectrite and friend Tireeshek.Instead of
arriving where he thought, he arrived in the middle of Hell, too weak to fight the
denziens that he found there. He barely made it out alive, and swore a blood debt on all
that caled Hell home. This blood debt seemed extended to all who opposed him as well. The
reign of Big Jim as highlord of the House of Yoda was one of power. At first, all went
well with the struggling clan, until war tore it apart. Big Jim enlisted in the
Spectritemilitary, and that lead to a civil war within the clan between the different
races. All but Spectrites and Shi-Kuls were expeled from the clan. Big Jim suffered many
defeats and for
a time growth seemed impossible. Then the Prophets of Doom rose again and proclaimed a
secondGreat Reset. This time, the clan was prepared. Big Jim quickly rose to dominance
after the reset and retained his title as highlord of the clan. Many were not as
fortunate, and the clan
shrunk again from losses of members to the Second Reset. The clan became the richest, most
powerful it had ever been during this time of prosperity. Big Jim took the road of peace
this
time, becoming a Truthseeker, accomplished thoughtstabber, and biomancer. The clan
flourished because of this.Once again, the Prophets of Doom arose to end this time of
plenty, proclaiming a Third Reset. It was during this time of mass confusion and panic
before the reset that I came to
the realms of Rock. I was young and new at the time, but I knew the damage that could be
done after a Reset. I was ready. The Reset came and went. Big Jim was unable to adjust to
the new terms after the Reset, and lost his spot as Highlord of the House of Yoda. I,
however, thrived after the Third Reset, quickly becoming one of the most powerful Shi-Kuls
at the time.
I was asked to become the new Highlord for the clan, an honor I readily accepted, becoming
the first non-Spectrite to lead the clan ever. The clan is still small, but we are
powerful and have
influence, a much needed trait in these times. Peace has been maintained for the most
part, but the clan has proved capable of striking when necessary. I have enjoyed my time
as head
of the clan. I have enjoyed even more the Realms of Rock, and all the allies and friends
that have come as well during my time in Rock.
Okay, I've had my fun weaving my fanciful tale of chivalry and industry
in Rock. There really is no House of Yoda clan (yet). That is just a group of all my
alternate characters that I have had over the years of playing Rock. In reality, I am high
school student having fun playing Rock and running two internet businesses from my
computer at school. There is only me behind the personnas of Big Jim, Darth, Master Yoda
(who really did disappear to God-knows-where about a month after playing Rock), and all
the other clan members named in my story.
The significance behind those names? Big Jim comes from an old basketball nickname. I am a
huge fan of Star Wars, so Darth and Master Yoda were a no brainer. And 2001 was chosen
because no one would be able to tell who or what I was without looking at me, and I
graduate in 2001. And the players Tireeshek, Im25son, Basher, etc. are all real players
who played Rock.
Long Live Im25son, a legend in his own right. Perhaps I will tell the story of the
trash talking master one day...
