| ZOOM Rhythm Trak 234 Drum Machine | |||||||||||||||||||
This belongs to Ether and has been primarily programed by him in the past. I initiate the sequences during preformances and rehearsals. It has 3 different drum tracks and a bass track which has proven very usefull for songwriting due to the fact that we do not have a sequencer yet. I am taking a more active role in writing with this piece of equipment and hope to use it more often in songwriting.

I have not experimented with this very much because I have had problems with the acoustic drum triggers. Lots of false triggering problems that I am trying to understand. Currently, I have 3 tom mounted and one bass drum mounted trigger by Trigger Perfect I will probably use pads in the future as soon asI can afford the investment. Eventually, I hope to use it in conjunction with a sampler and sequencer.

This is a simple four track mixer. The only practical use this has for me right now is to be able to controll the output of the drum machine while simultaneously monitoring Ether's vocals. I finally learned how to isolate the vocals from the Zoom in the outgoing mix, but the unit is very limited. (I should have spent a little extra money and gotten more tracks and a more efficient monitoring system but, hey, live and learn)

This is a real cool processor that both Ether and I own. I have had limited success with mine due to 2 facts: 1- I do not have a headset mic. It is very hard for me to play drums and hold my head in one spot to sing into one on a stand. 2- Feedback I am thinking more along the lines of heavily effect-saturated vocals. The mic I am using is a typical vocal mic and it feeds back horribly. I am looking for a very small condenser mic and have plans to build a headset mic.
