| ROONEY IS SO BOSS! Date: Monday, May 26th, 2003 Time: 8:55 pm. Mood: ecstatic. Music: Rooney "Hey" LAST NIGHT WAS SO BOSS! Joanna, Jess, and I went to see Rooney last night..and Feeder, AM Radio, Doublethink, and Another Day Wasted. I had the greatest time. We got there and I was soooo stoked. We were like..woowww..we're actually here. And there were these big busses outside..so we were like..omg they're here too. haha. So, we're just waiting near the doors and we here someone say "Robert." We turn around and like..60 feet away..there was this tall, dark haired, leathered person standing infront of a bus talking to some people. We EEEEEed. And he saw us...We started walking towards him..and he didn't turn away..we said Hi and he said he had to go do something. So we were just standing around again and the Louie walks onto the bus. And we say hi to him too...heh.. I had never been to the Webster before. I was so surprised when I saw how small it was! And since there was barely anyone there, we got right up front. Well, no one was up yet so I went to the merch room and bought some Rooney stuff. They guy behind the counter told me to take some AM Radio stickers. So I did. Ohyou'll seee.. The first band that played was a local band Another Day Wasted. They were so awesome. So after their set, I was talking to the lead singer about where I can buy their demo..if they had one. And they did. So I was like I'll come back after. Before the next band, I was talking to these two girls about Rooney and one of them had a t-shirt on that said I LOVE SCONES!!!! I flipped! They were really cool. I showed them my sketch of Taylor..and they flipped too. hehe. The next band was Doublethink. They were ok, not as good as ADW. But it was enjoyable. So after their set I went to the merch room. The guys from ADW were at their little table and the lead singer pointed at me and was all jumping up and down "her!" So I got their demo and they signed it. Got a free sticker. Joined the mailing list. Oh man. I have to do some major street teamness for these guys. They really deserve it. So I went back to Joanna and Jess. AM Radio came on and guess who the lead singer was..yea..the guy behind the merch counter. hehe. Well..they rocked. I was glad to see them finally because I missed them on the Enlightenment Tour. After one of their songs he goes, "Allright..so this is our last song..and then you can all see Rooney." That was kinda weird because Rooney was headlining..and there was still Feeder to play as well. So we were just standing around..and it took like..FOR-EV-ER for the roadies to set up things. Gah they came on and I was about to crap myself. I was so excited. GAH. And they sounded so great. After their first song I screamed "WE LOVE YOU ROONEY!" It was great because people around us were like YEAAA! heh. So they played like..the entire album and HERE TODAY GONE TOMORROW!!!!! THE RAMONES COVER! I WAS FREAKING! IT WAS THE BEST! I didn't think they'd play thatBUT THEY DID AND I WAS SO HAPPY! hehe. And I SWEAR for about 20-30 seconds in like..two or three of the songsRobert made eye contact with mewhile he was singing..and I was singing..and I almost lost all control. After their set..I was so blissed out. I was like..hmm..I should go buy some more stuff. I got the AM Radio ep. The lead singer was there once again and I had him sign it for meeee. hehe. I also got a Rooney tote bag. I don't know why. heh. Anything to support them. We tried to go outside to see if Rooney was there but security said they wouldn't let us back into the venue if we left. SOOOO we stayed for a bit longer and talked. Joanna's mom said we should get going..it was late. So we left..and we turned the corner to go to the parking lotand there's Louie..outside the bus..So we got a pic with Louie. Then the bass player from Doublethink came out and we were talking to him too. Apparently he's from Essex. Weird. I thought that place is for people who really love antiques, people who ARE antiques and are waiting to die, or people who are really boring. heh. But he was cool. Gah that was an awesome night Love Love Love is all you need Meghan |
