Yes, the possibilities here are virtually limitless. Here are some examples to get you started. If your favorite band isn't here, by all means, email us and sell it to us. Solo artists aren't going to work (Enya, Jewel, The Artist Formerly Known, etc. But last-name bands like Bon Jovi or Montrose are fine). The point is to have bands - or artists that have HAD the same band together - for a good long time. Trent Reznor IS Nine Inch Nails, but he's had the same musicians with him - Danny Lohner, et al - for a damn long time. Marilyn Manson has had the same guys with him a long time, too. So that works. The solo artist types can show up as subverts that anyone can use. The Artist can be a secret agent for Oblivion, controlled by anyone. Same for Britney Spears. She seems harmless...but she isn't. She could easily be Oblivion's right hand. The idea is to capture that thing that characterizes a band, and run with it. If bands have crossover members--good examples would be Pearl Jam and Temple Of The Dog, or Journey and Santana--then those Sailors will be friends and tied closely together, as some of the same musical elements will exist between them. If your band has a shady past, and some members went off and formed a band that failed, the same can apply, and your band may not be able to defeat that band's 'avatar'. That anti-band may also be able to find you by what little it shares of your 'wavelength', and give you away.
