| New York is a fantabulous place of extreme interest. One can visit areas of natural wonders such as the Lackawanna Coal Mines, Adirondack Mountains, and the Finger Lakes. All of these places have aesthetic qualities and educational value. They are absolutely essential for one who wants to be thoroughly immersed in New York's unique exquisiteness. | New York state also varies greatly from its eastern coast to its west border. There are variations in climate. For example, the average temperature range on Long Island is 33 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit. This is moderate compared to central New York, with an average temperature range of 16 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. In Western New York the average temperature is 21 to 73 degrees Fahrenheit, and this would be not as drastic as that of central New York, because of the Great Lakes located near it. The placement of large bodies of water have a moderating effect on climates. And since Long Island is placed right between the Long Island Sound and the Atlantic Ocean, it has the most moderate temperatures of the three (east, central, and west New York). |
