Britney Spears says she is ready for a new romance after finally getting over her split with Justin Timberlake. But she says it would be difficult to find the right man to date.
"Either the guy's going to be really intimidated, or they're going to kiss your ass," she told People magazine. "I'm just a girl wanting a guy to love me."
Spears, 20, said the break up with NSync star Timberlake had taken a lot out of her. "He was my first real love, and I doubt I'll ever be able to love anyone like that again." The couple recently tried to patch things up, but "right now in my life, it's not right," she said.
She shrugged off reports that she has had a "meltdown" following recent difficulties and said she was just taking a break. And Spears, who famously boasted she would remain a virgin until she married, also said her days as a fresh scrubbed role model were over. "Who cares if I've had sex? It's nobody's business. Trust me, I'm not going to have a press conference to announce it."
